CC3+ contains a huge amount of various commands and features. In this series, I plan to highlight some of these. There won't be any special progression to this series, and the command will be selected from the entire range, from the simple basic commands, to more advanced features intended for the more advanced users. Feel free to use this topic to discuss the command presented. If you have a command you wish to have showcased, feel free to request it, and it may get presented.
This series is called the command of the week, but it could also explain a feature or effect. The explanations will tend to explain the technical parts of the command, and is intended to highlight the basics (and complexities) of the command, but won't be a detailed tutorial on how to use it. It is up to you to use it creatively in your maps.

Week 43 - Fill Style Selection Mask

When selecting a fill style in a dialog, such as the Edit Properties dialog, the list can get a little bit cluttered. This is because this list contains all the fill styles available in the map, regardless if they are Brush Patterns, Hatchings, Bitmaps, or symbol fills. Usually, you don't need all of those in the same map. The Fill Style Combo Mask command is used to clean up this list, and only display the fill styles you need.

    Where to find it?

    Command Line: FSCOMBOMASK

    How to use it?

Simply type the command on the command line and hit enter. This will pop up a dialog where you can select which kinds of fills you want to be displayed in the fill style dropdowns. Note that 'Solid' and 'Hollow' will always display, even if you disable brush patterns, since these are useful, also in maps that don't use the rest of the brush patterns.
