  • Where do I find CC3 not CC3 plus.

    Hello Yeager

For every CC3 add on there should be an equivalent CC3+ installer of a very similar name in the same block of installers when you view the files on your Registration page. CC3 is no longer sold as it was superceeded by CC3+ about 10 years ago. The only reason the CC3 installers are still available is because we have users who still like to use the outdated CC3 app they purchased a decade ago - back when CC3 was the current 'core app'.

If, however, you have something that doesn't have an equivalent CC3+ installer please contact Tech Support using the Support tab on your Registration page. Here is the login page for that: https://secure.profantasy.com/service/entrance.asp

About the length of time it takes to redraw - it might be the same or even worse after you split the polygon. What's causing the speed to drop is having to redraw millions of nodes every time you pan or zoom just a small amount.

You could use SIMPLIFY to remove all nodes that are less than the specified distance apart, and enter a value like 1 to start with when prompted. If this simplifies the outline too much undo it and try again with a decimal fraction of 1. Even if you use zero it will remove any nodes that are right on top of one another. You might be surprised by how far you can go with it.

SIMPLIFY works immediately on whichever polygon you pick. There's no "Do It" required.

  • How Can I Draw Real-World Places in Campaign Cartographer?

It looks like the screen failed to resize. That's the most likely cause of the white vertical stripe on the right.

Hide the SCREEN sheet and see if it's still there. If I'm right and it's the screen, then two simple commands should set matters right again. First reshow the SCREEN sheet and type "COLLARDEL", then hit ENTER. The screen should have been deleted. Then type "COLLARAUTO" and hit ENTER. This should draw you a new screen around the outside of your map.

The new screen might not be the right size if you have a lot of things sticking out around the edges, but there are more collar commands explained in this article by Remy Monsen.

  • Symbols Catalogue Wonky

    LOL! I don't hate you.

If you intend to keep building everything larger and doing more and more maps between the 2 machines it would be best to move the symbol pngs and the catalogue files into the Symbols folder. Otherwise what you do to a map on either machine won't work correctly on the other machine.

  • Symbols Catalogue Wonky

Well, you could scale the png file itself in GIMP or some other bitmap editor and reimport it - ready scaled to be the right size once it's imported.

I really do recommend you opt for the temporary pain of moving your symbol folders and your catalogue files into the Symbols folder and using relative references as you repair the catalogues and map files. Once you've done it on one machine you can copy the resulting folders and catalogues to the other machine and put them in the same place in that Symbols folder. That way, you won't ever have to carry on remaking catalogues every time you sit at the other machine. That would be a pain that will never go away.

While they might cause occasional screams of frustration, these are beautiful maps, Wyvern :)

  • A first map, "The Mushrooms Lair (Thieves Hideout)"

That's a really good effort, Fishou.

If you were going to make any adjustments to it I recommend changing the background fill to something other than that rather scratchy stone background - not the cave floors but the surround. There are lots of others you can try in that style.
