You can set the transparency using the Edge Fade Inner, which kills two birds with one stone.

That's a great first try with the style :)

@Nacon451 - Yes, as long as the png file has a transparent background, though you might have to trim the individual photos so that none of them stick out at the corners from behind the circular frame symbol.

Alternatively, you could knock out the white in GIMP and import and trace the black in CC3?

I hope the Darklands works well for you. It is designed to make PS-style land shading easy in CC3 - and no tracing required. If you have any issues you know where I am ;)

I'm curious to know why you leave so much white space around the edges. Is that deliberate, or something that just seems to happen?

That's how we normally do it around here - new WIP, new comment, so there's a story to the whole thing.

It's better than constantly replacing the initial image, which has the disconcerting effect of making the comments underneath it make no sense at all.

I tried that already, but they cause too much interference with the rest of the map, being rather too eye-catching in comparison with the real focus, which will be the ruins on the sand below.

I don't think anyone should ever have to apologise for having a good time :)
