I tend to draw a lot with the freehand drawing tool and then edit the lines I draw.

I think the rock fill is possibly a little bit too busy. If you swap it out for a texture that doesn't have quite so much texture in it the rest of the map will stand out a lot more clearly.

Anything that goes with my mood at the time.

Mostly film music, but other times I have 60s, 70s, or 80s hits going, and I have been known to listen to traditional music as well - drum music and tribal chants etc.

And half the time I listen to an audiobook instead.
