Cartographers Annual Jan 2020 (using watabou maps)
@inservo, have you taken a look at any of @Quenten's threads about Watabou maps, like this one:
https://forum.profantasy.com/discussion/10489/watabou-medieval-fantasy-city-generator
Quenten is probably the expert on importing from Watabou on these forums.
I've never had a go, but I do fancy using these tools, so I'll try to make a map tomorrow as a new Watabou city mapper, but experienced CC3 user and I'll let you know what I think about your issues when I'm done.
Bear in mind that both Quenten and me are just forum users like yourself. -

[WIP] Castle Ravenloft.
It turns out that there is a nice poster map in the hardback Curse of Strahd as well. It needed tearing out of the book, so I'd forgetten about it. I still prefer the 1st and 2nd Edition isometric maps, as even though the 5e poster map is more colourful, that still makes it harder to read.
Beautiful and iconic as the iso maps are, I can't imagine that it's easy to DM the adventure using them. The castle is a very clever 3d maze, but it's only the players who are meant to get lost in there, not the DM!

The best thing they could have done for 5e would have been to include the great original Iso map, but also have Mike produce a 2d version for the poster map. The rest of the maps in the campaign are so easy to use. -
