@WeathermanSweden - Thank you, André :) And the shadow could be done in CC3...

@DaishoChikara - Oh that's way over my head. I wouldn't have a clue. You would have to ask PF about that. What I can say is that I asked a related question some time ago about whether we could have a text-related effect that placed a background fill behind the text in a block, but I think the answer was no.

@Wyvern - I hadn't thought of that, but I think the artwork would be so large as to be extremely unwieldy, not to mention fixed and non-editable. Things are still at the thinking and doodling stage just yet, though, so I will think some more about it.

  • Floor Disappears

I think you might have to upload the FCW so that we can have a play and see what is happening with these here magical vanishing floors :)

If you would rather not share the FCW you can PM me or Remy (Monsen) with it ;)

  • Sheet Effect Texturize behaves strangely?!

I have a feeling that I noticed something like this a long time ago, but not being all that focussed on the effect at the time I just shrugged and made an actual texture of my own. I also thought I wasn't using it properly, but never got around to investigating it.

  • Live Mapping: Battlemaps and Virtual Tabletops

    Hi Everyone :)

Tomorrow, Ralf will be demonstrating how to make a simple battlemap and export it for use in a VTT. If you want to come along and take part please do. We usually have a good time.

To book a reminder, left click the above link once, then right click it and pick "Copy video URL", then open a new browser window and press CTRL+C to past the address. Voila - you are there.

Or you can just watch it right here if you want, though you will only be able to take part in the live chat on YouTube.

Hope to see you all there! :D

  • FT3 and The 2019 Annual "One Day Worldbuilder" - Issue with Wilbur steps

When the land is flat in Wilbur though you know it wasn't when you were looking at it in FT3, the MDR file has quirky data in it called NANs and Outliers. These are data points that are either massively above or below the expected range of altitudes, or data that isn't a number (Not A Number) - an error of some kind. You can't see these points because they are one or two points in tens of thousands of data points, but you can deal with them by carrying out the instructions on pages 10 and 11 of the Supplemental Notes.

  • 2 questions: "broken" sheet and effects on load

Hit the hourglass button on the left and check the box that says "Effects are on when loaded", then save the file.

For the dashed grey line issue, first check that they really are on the sheet you think they are on by using List in the Info menu. If you are using a drawing tool to draw those lines the tool will dictate which sheet they end up on regardless of whichever sheet you have active at the time.

  • Does anyone know of Cosmographer Line Art Symbol Libraries?

    Hi Jason :)

I'm much more of a City and overland mapper, and have only once used Cosmographer, so I'm probably not the best person to answer your main question. I just wanted to encourage you to create new assets. After all - once you've done it once you won't ever have to do it again, no matter how many maps you make.
