  • Forest Trail project - part 1

Ah yes, but that's a henge rather than a stone circle.

I've gone back to working on the waterfalls for now, but I'll see if I have time.

  • Somehow separated terrain fill from the outline?

The land and the coastline are two separate entities on two separate sheets. They start off as identical copies when you first draw them, but if you accidentally edit one without the other being visible with the node editing tools it's quite possible to make a difference this way.

Comments on this forum will become more easy to edit once you have earned enough likes. It's one of the many ways we prevent spammers from making a relatively innocuous comment and then coming back to edit it later and fill it with whatever they want to advertise. It can be a bit inconvenient, but it works very well to protect the community as a whole.

    You're welcome :)

The add node tool will separate them, even if both are visible. It can only add a node to one entity at a time, so as soon as that is done they are no longer the same.

Crashing can happen if you already have thousands of nodes in your map. This is more common if you are using an FT export, where the level of detail is almost ridiculously high.

For now, if you pick the relevant SYMBOLS sheet before pasting the symbols should go on the right sheet.

I expect Ralf will look at it again in the not too distant future.

  • [WIP] Continent Map using CC3+ MS Overland and other resources

I think I like the one on the left better. The right one seems a too strong to me.

Yes, sorry. That one was taken out at the last minute since it wasn't being used for anything and the style was already absolutely huge. As I remember it was teetering on the edge of the absolute 500MB limit per issue (preferably they are usually much smaller than that). So I was looking for ways to reduce the size.

In part 2 there are 2 versions of the stone - light and dark. So by losing one you will eventually gain two instead.

The two new textures will be CA192A, so that slot is obsolete.

Yes, that's because they can go on any of the three. If you pick one of the three grass sheets before you pick the grass drawing tool it will go on that one. The idea was to reduce the number of sheets from 5 to 3, given that there are an awful lot of sheets in the style - so far. There are even more in part 2.

However, I can't say if Ralf intends to change that or not.

If you get a newly created "grass" sheet you can solve the problem the same way Ralf did - move it down to be with the rest of the grass sheets and copy the same effects across.

"Every forum topic will eventually evolve into some other completely different topic" is the politest possible version of Godwin's law. In the case of this topic, the progression was surprisingly relevant and straightforward.

I think it went amazingly well! LOL!
