My goodness! That's quite a personal challenge, but it looks good so far :)

I have noticed similar behaviour a couple of times, but just shrugged it off and CTRL+Zed my way out of it because every time it happened I was too busy to really worry about it.

It seems the definition is a very broad one. Basically it seems that any style will do, as long as there are no bright colours in it.

Edge is a power hungry tool that drains a good proportion of RAM, but it does seem to have the best record overall. Apart from it's power-guzzling nature it's not let me down so far.

That's not good. The models in our college Life Classes were allowed to go into their own little private room every half hour and come back after a 10 minute break. Mind you - they were nudes, so I guess you couldn't really expect them to sit there all day without a break to freshen up a bit every now and then :)
