I have Lampoteuo assigned to me currently but I have also mapped out a few of the sub maps for the region. Not sure if you want to track this, assume no one else will be able to work on the area until I finish the region at least.
I've got the following in progress:
Lampoteuo Region Lampoteuo City Creepers Cave The Wound
As long as the region map is still in progress, nobody can even try to claim anything there, but it is good to know what areas you are continuing with.
As long as the total size of the map including the extra files does not exceed 10MB (This is to keep the atlas download size manageable, as such fills need to be distributed with the atlas).
Also make sure you set up the fills with the relative path of $..\Resources\Bitmaps\YourNickname\fillname.png (This is necessary to make the atlas just work no matter where the user unzips it, and to keep the main map folders clean by keeping all resources in a dedicated folder)
You already said you where making them yourself, but just to clarify for anyone else reading this, adding custom artwork is only allowed with things you make yourself, we cannot just add files you found on the internet, even if they are free. And by made yourself, I do mean made from scratch, taking something made by others and make modifications to it can't be accepted either.
Of course, any files distributed with the atlas is also available for other mappers to use in their atlas maps (and for other personal use as outline in the atlas license agreement, same conditions as the maps themselves)
I would like to map one more map, please. This time I would very much like to try to map the city of Al-Sanadin in the North western area of the Shifling Sands.
I'd like to reserve this area on Malajuri in Hadrian's Maelstrom Bay map. i'm also figuring out a small village to map for the contest and place my estate from my campaign into this Atlas...I'll let you know where i figure as soon as i do
You mean the island ring Scott? If you click the "Reserved Areas" button, you'll find you CAN click on it, after which you'll discover Gathar has it reserved, with mapping in progress
And I hope everyone's noticed the rotating-globe Nibirum graphic has changed in recent days. First the globe was updated in a different colour scheme, and now - even better in my opinion - the world is spinning the correct way! Yes, previously the Sun rose in the west and set in the east across Nibirum. Thankfully, the deities have awoken and fixed their oversight now!
Well done, and many thanks, to our excellent High Priest Monsen for nudging the deities in this manner. [And reworking the graphic!]

Well, technically, the original spinning globe image pre-dates any scholarly works that describe the direction of the rising and setting sun, so it could be argued by someone predisposed to do so that the sun did, in fact, rise in the west and set in the east. Until, Monsen convinced the appropriate diety to change things, of course.

LOL. Yeah, after ten years of my having the same avatar, I thought it might be a little confusing for some people when I changed it. But my One Ring avatar, which I use on RPG sites (and my computers) doesn't really go with my user name. And though I started using this user name when I was in the infantry, it's just as — or more — applicable to my affinity and love for dogs (Bargo in particular). So this avatar seems more fitting.
They are yours. I won't update the registry in the atlas until I am back from Rome though (unless you have already done the maps by then, which would hardly surprise me
I would like to work on a lighthouse area map. Its near an area I've already done. Here is the map piece in the Forlorn Archipelago. Maybe a larger one with more detail for Stormy Point.
I've been giving some thought to re-starting the City of Sanctuary in Lorelei's continent of Malajuri.
Would it be ok with you and Lorelei if I did that?
If so, I think I will start a new thread, since although there are many helpful comments in the old one it is already quite long, and the new map will be different to that one.
If Sue is going ahead with Sanctuary (which I hope she does), I think I should unreserve the site previously reserved for me on Malajuri; in addition, perhaps the site in Peredur should also be unreserved.

Happy mapping.
Below is a smaller version of the caldera area.

I'm just sayin'.
The Darklands
Six folks have stopped by Crest of a Star based on link at the Atlas. From Jan 29 into April, 2018.
I hope to work on another Atlas map, Soon [tm].
