  • CA style development - "Darklands City" (issues for September and December 2021)

    Hi Everyone! :)

Welcome to another new style development thread!

This time I will be working on a City style that is intended to be similar to the Darklands overland style in flavour, and to be published as two parts in September and December this year.

So, first off, I would love to know what you would like to see in a city version of this style.

  • Live Mapping: Starship Deckplans

    Hi Everyone! :D

In this week's Live Mapping session tomorrow (Thursday 24 June) Ralf will be giving us a rundown of how to build our own star ships using the Starship Deckplan issue of the 2007 Cartographer's Annual.

    (No Cosmographer required!)

All are welcome to come along and join in with questions and suggestions :)

  • EMF conversion Issues

I am wondering if it would be easier to make a separate copy of the original FCW file, make all line widths zero, then give them a width back in Inkscape.

  • Perspectives 3 - Log Fort

    Looking good :)

Have you considered using a Fresnel shader and the 'Pointiness' input of the coals to shade them?

Here I've made a crude burning coal shader by combining a regular dark stone texture with just such a combination.
