The tombs I will make for the set should double as above ground mausoleums, and should also be reasonably compatible with existing DD3 stuff, if that helps?

Oh don't worry - it always does that.

Hide everything but the landmass and use the delete node tool |CC2DELNODE| on the left hand toolbar to remove the extra nodes in those sides which should still be straight.
