My sister now tests positive. So I have to continue my self isolation. Doctor just called and said if I get sick to call for an appointment immediately.
It's whatever you want - perhaps half-elves using it as a base to clear the area of enemies so they can start a new colony here? Whatever you want really.
Noticed I hadn't iploaded a map showing the named location of the Western Hill Fort. So here it is. Along with some trees added and some that were behind hills now in front where i wanted them to be. Bigger jpg in my gallery.
I think the rock fill is possibly a little bit too busy. If you swap it out for a texture that doesn't have quite so much texture in it the rest of the map will stand out a lot more clearly.
I was trying to make the rocks larger before I saw your post. When I export the jpg, it looks normal, but this is what it looks like in CC3+. I tried several bitmap fills, same problem.
This is RockG_blu-a T same with the rest of the fills that show as 1' x 1' but 'scaled' isn't clicked.
edit: My apologies, I'm tired and forgot to put the fcw up here to. Attached.
From personal experience, having part of a map that you must name yourself is always a poor experience, it is so much easier to use a pre-made map if it has names.
Of course, not every minor street in a city map needs to be named, but having a good chunk of them named is always very helpful.
Try searching online for random fantasy name generators Jim. There are quite a lot available, though they're not all equally useful, of course.
I think I've listed this one somewhere here before, but Fantasy Name Generators has quite an extensive selection of options. Alternatively, maybe try the Mithril & Mages site or those on The Story Shack site. These are just three that also came up on the first page of a Google search using "random fantasy city street name generator", for instance.
1: I would make the Street names a little smaller in size.
2: I would name only 1-2 more streets, not every one.
3: I would not make the grassy areas transparent.
4: I would use other symbols for the farms - have you tried the great drawtools from the latest annual. You would need to add the bitmaps from that annual, and change the drawtools to that annual. Well worth trying.

We all took a covid test today. I am negative.
That's great. Stay that way :)

I fix my own meals, separate bedroom, etc.
Well, good you have us here to talk to then to ease the monotony of isolation :)
You keep safe now, Jim!
We're always here :)
I need to exercise more, backyard is large enough.
Maybe I'll rough it and put up one of my tents back there.
Nah, its cold outside.
I also play Everquest II.
Added 3 pits. In room 1 highest point are now bugbears and goblins. I have no idea how they got there. I suppose the water tunnel number 3.
My guess is there are here trying to figure out how to get up into the cavern and attack.

@Quenten I'm not sure what the location for number 16 is ? Its marked on this map, but there is more than one feature it could be.
I think its the Western Hill Fort ?
Anyway, I added a few symbols to this map. 900 pixel jpg, 2000 pixel in gallery.
Jim, it is indeed Western Hill Fort - make of it what you wish. It is well outside Dwarven or Elven jurisdiction
Okay. I'll work on 16 to, as part of this set.
Is it abandoned /ruins ?
If not, would humans be running it ? Or someone else ?

Sounds good. Haven't set up an area for half-elves in a long while.
I have somewhat run out of ideas for the Caves. I'll try some bits on the Western Hill Fort.

Thanks Sue.
I named this map Approaches, but its the hill fort itself. I'll have to rename the file, etc. rather preliminary, etc.
Anyway, bitmap fill shows as larger in CC3+, than on this map. I added two fills and did a transparency on them to break up the monontiny.
900 pixel jpg.
I need to adjust that rock fill I am using for a background. Added more buildings, some CD3, some CSUAC, some Bogie.

Otherwise, good work :)

Change the Fill Style resolutions from Display Speed Settings. Drop all of them down to about a quarter of their current value.
Thanks. Kinda tired tonight. I'll do it Saturday.
Looks okay on my computer and in the export.
Added some foot paths, farmland, scale, and compass rose. Named a few buildings.

Added a few location names. If anyone can come up with more street names, I would appreciate it. Or should I just let any user name them ?
I'll probably name the two brighter red buildings as Storage.

I'll see what I can do.

Jim, a few suggestions.
1: I would make the Street names a little smaller in size.
2: I would name only 1-2 more streets, not every one.
3: I would not make the grassy areas transparent.

One and 2 is easy, okay.
I did make them transparent more to break up the rocks than anything else.
Haven't looked at the latest annual issue, but its on my list of things to look at. It's download and installed.
@Wyvern I'll try to remember to look them over. I really prefer my own, but I'll give them a look.
I used partial names from the second generator. Added more names, etc. The yellow field is fallow.

Wow, I like the changes Jim. Question: Should the keeps be bigger than the houses?
