Just a note that I did some changes to certificates as well as the firewall configuration of the server. I don't think this should affect any user of the atlas, but if you experience problems, tell me.
Happy New Year all! Seems the Christmas Crud got me this year pretty bad and I am recovering from a horrible cough/cold. Today my head feels well enough to sit upright long enough to play around with a map. So, as promised i'd like to reserve a spot on Quenten's Torstan map. I'll take this section in the Golden Ward. I will do the street as a map, then map out a few floorplans.
The city is fine. as for the Berenur area, most of it is fine, but keep in mind that the two islands from that area already have a prior reservation on them, so I'll have to ask that you leave those alone.
I can add your map to the atlas now, on the condition that you are willing to go back and make any necessarily changes to the islands if necessary. You haven't added too much details to them anyway, and the main cities on those two came from the continent map anyway, so they won't be moved. I am guessing it will mostly be about a few names, if anything at all, probably. I have to give priority to the order of reservations, that's the whole point of them.
Of course, at this point, I don't know if that reservation will even be fulfilled. But one of the core points of the atlas is to let people take their time, and don't get stressed out about getting it done, so I can't ignore a reservation until it is purged from the system due to old age. So, It might not end up being an issue at all. But it does emphasis the point of getting a reservation before you start working (or at the very least, check the online atlas that noting is registered there.) The last thing I really want to do is to reject any map.
"Are there any plans to have a single download ZIP/etc. archive for the maps, or for the various types of maps?---all dungeon maps in one file, all wilderness maps in another, etc.?
No. The .fcw version is of a manageable size, but there are currently 23GB of image files in the atlas, not something I want to have available for download, especially not with a live thing like that atlas that gets updated all the time. (And providing "update" versions and "full" versions only gets real confusing quick)
Hi! I'd like to reserve the town on the western shore of Lake Monstran (Forlorn Archipelago, Fisher Island, Lake Monotran) per Quenten's suggestion for a city map I just finished up. Its actually already complete so I'll have the file emailed over to you shortly if there is no conflict.
That's great. Keep scale in mind, that lake is pretty large. The entire island is modern country-sized, so that rectangle still represents a considerable chunk of land.
I just switched the atlas to automatically enable HTTPS if the browser asks for it (which most modern browsers do). Shouldn't cause any problems, as the atlas did support https in any case, but let me know if anyone experiences issues relating to this.
I would like to do Sanctuary Valley as shown - both to give Sue a place for her Sanctuary City (I will liase with her re details), and also to match borders with Mt Dendorlig, and the reserved map to the south. Malajuri is the only continent I have not yet tarnished, so here goes.
Remy, I'd like to reserve Truwithiel, as shown in my thread below. It should neatly fit between Ruma Helrevy and Fionnuala, as shown in the relevant thread below.

This leaves us at 290 maps, so if we can get at least 10 dungeon levels for the challenge, we hit 300 for the 2-year anniversary
Lots of aboveground stuff on your list Quenten. Hope to see a dungeon level from you for the challenge too.
