I haven't seen JimP around for a long while. Has anyone heard from him? He was always so active for so many years that his absence seems unusual. Of course, we all take a break from time to time, so perhaps my concern is unfounded.
I sent him a direct message in August checking in but didn't hear back. The last message he posted was in April, saying his surgery went well. I think about him a lot -- he was the most prolific poster when I first became active a year ago.
Unfortunately, there were complications after the second part of his surgery. He's been in medical care since then, and hasn't been able to come by the forum.
His condition is not good, and we are not expecting him to return anytime soon, if at all.
Jim is in hospice care, at his own request. I think Sue is in constant communication with his sister, as am I. He can talk and is sort of with it. I am sure that if any of you would like to write him a letter or card, he would appreciate it. The address to send any mail is

His sister feels that contact with people from his hobby would help cheer him up. I have received permission from her to give out this address.

Remy, thanks for the update. That makes me so sad. He was always kind and supportive to everyone and will be missed.
Thank you for the update, Remy. My thoughts are with Jim.
