I guess so, but it isn't all one level. I think its more like 100k kilometers. I used the map they included in the referee guide book, beginner's box. The scale bar is 2000 feet. Seems tiny to me with about 14 of those across the entire thing.
That includes the spikes. My opinion is the central area should be 25k kilometers, with the spikes additional areas.
My mistake, it isn't 3k kilometers, its 30k kilometers, about 20,000 feet across
I think you need to brush up on your conversions. 30 km is about 100,000 feet. Of course, you wrote 30k kilometers, which is 30,000 km or 100 million feet.
You might want add this postscript to the list. "Some non-human colonizers found the 'colony wood' idea to be quite interesting and copied it with plants from their own homeworlds. In at least one case it proved to be a very bad idea."
You might be able to use resized pieces of Cosmographer starship gear for the space-stations Jim, if they'll stand resizing sufficiently. At this scale, something that obviously isn't the shape of a planet will probably work!
Also, is it "Disapora"? I don't know Starfinder, but for a scatter of asteroids (which is what this seems to be), "Diaspora" might be more apt.
I was wondering how I was going to map the planets, and found there are already area maps with some named locations in one of the pdfs I bought. So I can just map smaller areas instead of entire planets.
Fourth planet in the Pact world system, a down port. There was a sub-light fuel found on this planet, thasteron. Then the Drift, faster than light transportation, happened. So the planet Akiton, the name it has now, economy crashed. There are a few people left.
The Stewards are the law enforcement arm, but they have limitations.
I think these are finished, but I'm open to suggestions. Akiton is mostly a desolate planet. Oh, the stewards are more Interplanetary than local Police. so I added local Police in.
Did you know there was a giant robot crab outside your conference room? With regards to the station and levels. Perhaps some defualt generic rooms that repeat themselves and some sort of cross cut view of the station showing the purpose of each level. Then you could just focus on special places like a particular cantina etc. Jus thinking out loud, not that I could do that or even what you already created.
Here is the map with 5 areas. a) pit, 2 skeletons, debris; B) large spider, fungi, and wood debris with a skeleton under each pile; C) a very large snake, two braziers, skull pile, 2 trap doors, and some debris; D) large floor crack, amphorae, 2 chests; E) long floor crack.
Symbols for the above are from DD3, and 2022 Creepy Crypts.
Hey Jim, thanks for posting all this here. Been looking for world maps for a FrontierSpace campaign I'mputting together and have had a heck of a time finding anything. Will be checking out your site shortly, but just wanted to thank you. Might inspire me enough to add FT to my CC3+ and start doing some of my own :)

Ooops. My mistake, it isn't 3k kilometers, its 30k kilometers, about 20,000 feet across. Still seems small for a million or more inhabitants.
Sardines? 😉🐡

Right. I just guessed, but it is 3 time 30k, plus a bit.
I do miles much easier. I wanted to keep the live mapping going on my desktop, and didn't actually look up a website with conversions.
I think the scale bar in the book has to be in error. 14 x 2000 feet is rather small for over a million beings.
According to the wiki, 5 miles across and 2 million people. Nope, not buying that.
I'll get it on my site as soon as I can.
Thanks !
Should or wood ?
😁
Yippee ! I got Cartographer !
Well, after an entire 10 minutes of research, some saying yes Absalom could be 5 miles across, others saying that is silly...
I'm going with 50 miles across. Approximately 80,5 kilometers.
The Spike on the bottom has hundreds of levels. That I can live with.
So, my FAQ page on the site will have this information.
Mapping the entire thing ? No, just no.
I was going to work on and upload maps today, but our internet provider disconnected the cable down the road from us. A two truck problem.
On my cell.
On the gripping hand, I was thinking about mapping Absalom as 'areas ' like my Crestar city, Dillan Orsti
Looks like the connection is back up. I'm going to wait and see...
My apologies for taking so long.
A tentative solar system map for Starfinder, in case anyone has suggestions.
First time I did more than a few orbits. No Space station symbols, so I used gray planets.
Edit: I used Utility bots, large, for the two space stations, and the asteroid belt was misspelled. I had the A and S swapped.
The different zones may need to be adjusted.

I'll look at it again.

I just noticed this morning that I have 100 awesome. Thanks !

This down port has seen much better days.
larger in my Gallery.
My Internet is yoyoing again.
A down port in The Bounty. A terraforming attempt when the planet Akiton had money.
Some buildings are empty. Or the doors don't work. Two slums. A fighter on the landing pad, but it may not work.
The big circular skyscrapers, few live in them... the electricity and water are intermittent.
But the folks here, are working at bringing people back, and making repairs. Hope springs eternally.
I'll add scale bars at a later date.

I'll think about it. Sort of pressed for time this week.
This is a test map, with an underground area inserted upper right.
There is a tree under the inserted area.
To add more inserted maps I'll have to increase the map size and place them there.

the map.
I am a bit unsure how these inset underground areas are connected to the main map?
From a suggestion by Frosty, I'll be assigning them to the skyscrapers as part of some ruins.
