The Ice Goddess, map part 21. Note the lack of walls. The last time a strong force came through here to attack the city, seeing no walls which should have been a warning, they never made it through this area.
Map size is 5000' x 4000'. I'll need to adjust various things.
The shadows are long as she wants the illusion of a settnig sun, in the Northwest, to confuse travelers. Looks like some of the shadows need adjusting.
Some of the bitmap fills need work. And more symbols. Or maybe not more symbols.
Path marked P, is the only way through.
The other two paths lead to nowhere.
Cave marked A, it will be subdivided, houses snow ghouls and ghouls.
Most visitors think the large building marked M is where the Ice Goddess resides. It is guarded by wolves. Oh, you can walk right up to the guards and ask for an audience with her, but she isn't in there. The guards will even let you wait, outside. She is down the R path to those small buildings K. Several little old ladies, or illusions, live in various houses. The Ice Goddess lives in one of them.
J ruins, stay away from there, something is lamenting their very existence. Could it be the remnants of the last invading army ?
Path Q will also lead you off to nothingness and cold.
G and H are ice islands. Probably her 'playgrounds'.
An update on map 21. I added some rocks of various sizes, and two sharks in the large lake map center. Sharks ? Yes, there are Greenland sharks that live up in that area, over to Scotland, and look for food there.
Found a mistake in 16, the walls are on top of the towers. Almost done with part 10. Depending on when I hear about my vehicle in or out of the shop, I may get busy. Yeah, I have had it less than a month.
for an evil city, this is the bad part. Ruins, houses next to that. Gladiator training arenas. Anyone with the slightest inclination to not be ill treated, should stay away from this part of The City.
I copied map 12 and gave it the few filename. Something odd about it, has 2 map borders, the green hollow square, and it doesn't match. I think I took care of it. Screen didn't match either.
Anyway, here is the map, and a screenshot showing where it goes.
Yeah, the edges don't match and there are map border frames, and some don't have them... Ooof.

I was going to put a Marine dungeon/castle thing where the castle is located in the center. But I kept having problems with the effects sizes and my eyes were bothering me slightly. I might go back to the Marine Dungeon/castle it with some parts submerged and some not in the future.
It showed up again... I changed the distort bitmap to Hi instead of VH. I noticed it went outside the map border, so i just did a save as rectangle jpg.
I'll attach the fcw for troubleshooting. But I'm satisfied with the save as rectangle pic.

Transparency didn't change anything on the above map when I showed the Water, default ocean on --Ripple Mask sheet.
I just use deeper water bitmap fill, and it works. Note that 'deepest' is gone. I didn't do anything to it.
On md02, I changed the map scale up x2. No changes in the map appearance. I did it again. No changes.
So I am very uncertain as to why the marine dungeon doesn't work on the larger map.
If someone could help me fix this, that would be wonderful !

Me neither... I found the default, deeper works, but not the regular default ocean. I probably need to change the scale on something...

Why aren't the spell casters' guild worried about thieves climbing the trees and getting into their homes/buildings ? Carnivorous trees.

I wanted to see if I could make a 5000' x 4000' marine dungeon and have it work.

I've been thinking of making such a large Marine Dungeon as a bit part of a level, or just the entire level.

They let me use a loaner car while mine is being worked on... better if they had done that over a week ago.

I have decided to create a 200' x 160' Marine Dungeon and add it to City part 19.
Here are both.
Something weird happened, then it went away...
First, the weird jpg and the fcw.
I cannot select the, whatever it is, to the left of the pond. It appears to be the same as the background sand rippled bitmap.

I went to the md03 and enlarged the map 5 times.
I placed the water marine dungeon in a different location. No shadow to the left.
It's a green square on the ---OPTIONAL DISTORT sheet. Hide all but that sheet and turn off the sheet effects and you will see it.
