  • WIP: Cartographer Guild May Challenge

    Hi All,

Here is an update. I narrowed the rivers a little, 7 miles wide seemed a bit too much...added some terrain colouring and the jungle in the tropical portion as well as some settlements here and there.

  • WIP: New Dungeon Commission

    Hi Folks,

It's been awhile. Here is a WIP of the 1st level of a 4 level dungeon.

Due to the quality of the scan I can't get the grids to line up properly after scaling the import, but it's good enough. Due to the irregular shapes, I decided to use a drawing tool to do the floors first, then I can go and trace the walls, copy the floor to the Wall Mask sheet and change the fill etc...Then add the symbols. This seems to be a reasonably efficient workflow. I'm about 2/3rds done with the floor. Over on the left will primarily use a fractal tool...

@Raiko Thanks for that. It's just a little past midnight over hear and my brain is not comprehending that well at all. I'll have a proper read over the weekend.

Here is an update. I've got to draw a shaft still fir area 17 and the trap for area 9.

  • Quick(?) Ambush Battle Map

Another simple and, for me at least, very fast map for tonights game. This one took me about 45 minutes from start to finish... and is a "just in case I need it" map. As all you GMs know, players delight in doing the unexepected.

Level 3 is done! Yipee. One more dungeon level to go, this one is a cave, so I haven't decided style yet. I might go Jon Roberts or DD3. This one wasn't too bad, only took me, probably 3.5-4hours.

Is anyone working out what the hieroglyphs say? You should. It's fun and a tad creepy. No prizes, just my admiration.

  • OSR Dungeon Tiles - Quick Test

Playing around with the style, not for the tiles, just for general use and came up with this to give a sort of hand drawn look.

    Hi Folks,

Experimented with various things for the farmalnd for a couple of hours tonight as wells ass modifying the dock area.

I think I'll stick with bushes for the borders and coloured terrain fills like the attached...I'll probably adjust the scaling on the Symbols Along (ESC) dialogue for slightly less variation.

I'm 'working' from home tomorrow & Tuesday (our guys are having a picnic day and then a rostered day off, there's not much point in driving 45 minutes each way to be bored witless for 8 hours...) so I should be able to knock this over reasonably quickly tomorrow.

  • OSR Dungeon Tiles - Quick Test

    Hi Folks,

I'm looking to run DCC (Dungeon Crawl Classics) at some point. As it will likely combine F-2-F and online gaming I decided I'd make some OSR style tiles (in keeping with the general feel of DCC) for Maptool/Roll20. This is a quick sample. I need to soften the edges of the hatching a little with a small edge fade and add some detail to the corridor tiles - but overall, I'm happy with how this is turning out so far.

    Hi Folks,

Here is my "rainbow coloured, ice-cold floating gem" in situ. This will have to do, as I need to get these maps finished - they've been dragging on far too long and once I finish this one, there's 2 more to go. Thankfully, they're both much simpler.
