Rather happy with this one. The hat gets in the way of filling up the square which isn't ideal for visibility in the VTT environment - but alltogether rather fun figuring out how to deco. Also: scarf or severed head? :D

So, because reasons, I whipped together two symbols - a chassi and turret of a Panzer III.

I presume to have created files where the bits are to scale according to Tome standard (i.e. the 18 ft chassi was drawn at 100 pxl/ft). Did not turn them into a fully operational symbol package, obviously, so I had to scale it to the map manually.

Pretty much the whole Wehrmacht armoured car range on display; not seen here are the 234/1 and 234/3 varieties and, of course, representations of the other two colour patterns (i.e. desert and cammo).

I don't reckon there will be quite as many files (100 x 4 for all levels of resolution) for the other vehicles types: at least with regards to distinctive chassi variations, the armoured cars (of Wehrmacht) are decidedely peak ausführungitis.

I think it's probably the homestead of some end-of-days champion - made immortal but unable to leave until the stars are right and they must battle with some world-ending event. They probably ended up there as part of a bargain for their friends' lives. (Which is, if course, super-festive!)

From a year ago: The Rot - Gothenburg cathedral now in colour!

It's actually a little tempting to adopt a two-year cycle with the first being devoted entirely to sketches, followed up by colourizing. You know, slowing down the time to map completion even more!

Possibly good for regional/overland/city things, too, with some more focused execution.

100% probably not helping that other project, but I really like how the pistachio came together and made that river look like something out of a children's book illustration.

Rather happy with how the mowed down trees turned out: it would seem that the best way to put something together when you're not entirely sure how to, is to give it as little thought as possible.

Top left corner could do with some love, but nobody will notice I think 🤣

So I picked area 19 of the October community challenge. And this is the current progress of my getting in way over my head. I figured it would make an excellent opportunity to further the Castellfollit approach on the encounter map format (and will probably live to regret it).
