A whole lot of firsts and failing forward with this one.
Rather happy with how the mowed down trees turned out: it would seem that the best way to put something together when you're not entirely sure how to, is to give it as little thought as possible.
Top left corner could do with some love, but nobody will notice I think 🤣

Is that indicative of a typical journey with SJ?
I can't speak for the 1940's - but we were stuck at the station for a good hour after departure time last Friday. Eldritch horror task force intervention seems plausible.
The fast and loose with the details would most certainly be a detriment to some game systems. But it actually sort of works at the encounter map level, I think. Style is not going to be for everyone, granted, but the part of me who likes the idea of taking down a painting and stepping inside for some initiative rolls is 100% thrilled.
