I have been doing a lot of design and art for my gaming world lately. Not a lot of mapping.

One thing I've been doing is making specialized compass roses for regions of my world. I'm not sure how well these would work for anyone else, but if you would like me to make them available for your use, I can try posting them here. I am just starting to make scale bars to go along with them, so have nothing to show for that yet.

I've just started playing with creating symbol art for dungeon level symbols. I'm starting with a room by room workflow in what is known as Celtic Revival Style. Here's my first attempts. Nothing is scaled correctly, this is just a conceptual test to see if I can actually do what I want. Fireplace is from the current Shessar's fireplaces and Floors and walls are from SS2. Furniture are all new artworks.

This is more of concept piece for a scalebar for this specific compass rose, but hopefully gives you and idea of what I'll be trying to do. I'm not crazy about the placement of the roses, but don't hate it either. Input is welcome because it will guide me for other styles.

I've managed to finish the ground floor. I won't hand this off to Remy until I have all of it finished.

Okay, it seems there is some interest, so...

This will be a photo-realistic style. I'll want to make enough symbols and fill styles to make it usable. My original thoughts on it are for a manor house, making both fine furniture for the owners and more rustic for the serving staff and kitchens. I'm still experimenting but am pretty happy with what I'm getting so far.

This is not something that will be done any time soon. The earliest might be the end of this year. Maybe not until next year? In any case, I'm hoping to offer it as a free symbol set, kind of like the fireplaces (ProFantasy willing of course). I'll post my progress here as I go for thoughts, requests, and input.

I think I'm done, but want to mull it over for a few days just in case I (or you) spot something that is not quite right. :)
