Remy, I realise that this is very last minute, but I’ve been thinking about what to do with my lava cave map and, lacking a proper setting for it myself, I’ve decided that it’s probably best if I were simply to contribute it towards the atlas. That being the case it would probably make the most sense to enter it into the competition as well; that is assuming that I haven’t missed some clause that says I have to indicate my intent to enter before working on the map or similar. I realise that I’m kind of going about this backwards: sorry about that. I’ve been dithering about this for some time as I didn’t want to put forward something that I wasn’t entirely happy with, and as it’s essentially my first map, I wasn’t at all sure that I would be.
If you’re okay with it, would I be allowed to claim the Ys Porthmadog location from Quenten’s beautiful map of the Blaenavony Free Cities? I think it would work as the basis for my map as it’s a volcano in what looks like a rather cold climate with some nearby textures that remind me a little of what I chose for my cave walls.
Okay, I've been going in circles for a couple of hours and I think it's time to submit. Here it is, the fire of Lielt'ma, a remnant of the time frost giants and humans forged an uneasy alliance to defeat the wyrm Gwayotanyx and her ice titans in a time long forgotten. Once it was a place of reverence, now a forgotten ruin deep beneath a nameless peak between Frostfang Peak and Kristol Springs in the lands of Ezrute. Enjoy!
PS: please, bear in mind that I have applied a RGB matrix to symbols using this tutorial by Remy Monsen, so if you don't implement it as well when opening the .fcw file the apperance of the whole map will be very different.
Oh boy. Typical me, leaving things till, in this case literally, the last minute...
The time zone differential is actually going to help me submit my map. We're UTC +11 at the moment so that means I've got to 11.00pm local time tonight to submit it. Yay!
This is for the Atlas. It is located on Peredur. It is on the central southern mountain chain west of Yngvihagen. The entrance is on the bottom part of a glacial mountain adjacent to the warmer volcanic mountain.
A sorcerer built a secret lair. Human(oids) are kept there for experiments and demonic sacrifices.
Here's my selection, including an area map and document. With the document, I'm not sure what to do. It won't work properly just in a .txt document. I've seen other people with longer writeups, so I'm wondering how we go about that? Anyway, I'm including a docx as well as a txt document. I did it in Google Docs, and I don't think I can just post it here, as its 13 pages.

The issue here is that all notes go into map notes in the map file itself, and those doesn't support anything but plain text, that's why it has to be a plain text document, no formatting, no tables, and no images. I can post a prettified version on the website, since that is a .pdf, but it is important that no content should be lost by reading the text-only version in the map notes.
Hm, I tried to cut and paste it into map notes put it would only take a couple lines for some reason. When I was asking about that I did just mean the version you would put on the website. I just worried about the text file making it hard to read. All I have in it are paragraph breaks and bold text.
Thanks for your work on this. I really appreciate it. If you want me to send you a .pdf of the Google Doc, I can do that.
Map notes only take 8000 characters, so longer text have to be broken down over multiple. Usually, I get a bit more than a page of text in each. I think Wyvern has the record with a 20-part map note.
Nah, I don't need a pdf file, I can easily make that from the .docx you sent.
So, that's it then. The deadline have now officially passed, and it is the end of the competition. Thanks to everyone who participated. I am going to set up a voting thread shortly where people can vote on the best map. I just need to collect all the images and provide a proper presentation.
Map notes... I think Wyvern has the record with a 20-part map note.
I just don't know when to stop sometimes ?. Lifetime of designing RPG scenarios, I suspect, coupled with a desire to explore many avenues. All the time...
As explained in my initial post, I assume that everyone who posted their .fcw file here in the contest thread intended to submit them to the atlas. (If you misunderstood that part, and do NOT wish to contribute to the atlas, please tell me)
Several contestants here are new contributors to the atlas, and I need to know what name to credit the map to, as well as contact information (such as an email address, or a web site with contact information, facebook profile. etc.). By default, I will use your forum username as the credited name, and set the contact information to "username at the ProFantasy forums". If you want these to appear as anything else, please reply here, or send me a private message. There's also room on the mapper list on the webpage to include a URL beside your name, so if you have a relevant web page or gallery link or similar, you can also give me that. If you're actively using the gallery here at the forum, that could for example be a URL to your gallery page here.
Thank you very much for adding the maps to the atlas ?
I'm so happy about having participated in this contest - I learned so much about battlemaps (while usually doing WW2 regional maps) that I was able to start new projects with battlemaps / floorplans.

What Wyvern states is correct. That time is to allow it to become March 1st in every time zone.

Sure, that's great.

Great. Thanks for participating.
I think it's time I stop messing with the export settings and actually submit this.
In case you open another map without first closing CC, please be aware that I have added "DELAYDRAWSYM 0" to the OnOpenMacro for this file.
Great. Thanks for contributing.

An hour and twenty minutes to go!

I read a 28 page document on one of your maps. Very engaging reading.

@mazdoc's entry is now in the atlas. Thanks for participating and contributing.
Lost Temple of Winter by @Lizzy_Maracuja is now in the atlas. Thanks for contributing and participating in the contest.
I am slowly but surely working through all the competition maps.
Four new maps in the atlas from the contest. This time it is the excellent contribution from @Arcwynd.
Beautiful maps, Arcwynd
And another map in the atlas. This time it is @MattyEH's map. Thanks for participating in the contest and contributing to the atlas.
The submission from @Tex has now been processed. Thanks for taking part.
@JimP I tried to process yours too, but the zip file you attached only contained the description, and not the map file.
Argh, best laid plans of mice and men. I'll take care of that.
Added and uploaded. My apologies.
Thank you very much for adding the maps to the atlas ?
I'm so happy about having participated in this contest - I learned so much about battlemaps (while usually doing WW2 regional maps) that I was able to start new projects with battlemaps / floorplans.
Which I wouldn't have done without the contest ?
That's great. Nothing like a contest to broaden one's horizons.
Three new maps from the contest included in the atlas. This time it is all new levels for our mega dungeon project.
Thanks to @MarkOlsen and @JimP for participating and contributing.
Thanks. I forgot to take the 'Level 7' off my map... I think it is still there.
Or is this all just some fiendish plot? (Date...) ?
No, I really did leave 'Level 7' on the map.
