  • Shaded Polygon problems

Yes i have. It's been a big pain in the A**, as I do not have symbol catalogs. I've simply got too many symbols saved in my personal folder that i've used so often that creating symbol catalogs now would kill me with red x's, so I still do a regular old search through my symbols folder for whatever I might be looking for.....this little glitch has made map making take twice as long for me since i first search in file explorer, and then go back and do a search in CC3+. Here's hoping a fix is coming soon :)

  • Tormel Salted Wheat Farm Encounter Maps

Hey all. Long time. I've since deactivated my FB account and wanted to share a new set of maps I just finished in case anyone wanted to poach them. Sadly, I cannot put them in the Atlas, as they have been created using some personal fills and symbols.

Tormel Farm is located in the heart of the Salt Shaker region, where salted waters enrich the earth cultivating the special, regional Salted Wheat. One of our heroes left his family farm to join the military and left his duties to his sister, who unfortunately has been wooed by one of the big bads in my campaign and is under the influence of evil and is producing tainted wheat. Adam has resounded to destroy the farm in order to save the realm, hopefully killing Peter Unger, who took advantage of his sister and managed to marry her and take control of the Tormel Family Farm.

I wasn't sure what exactly they are planning, but i figured i'd give them a farmhouse, a silo and some fields to burn. Maybe some scarecrows to animate?

Any other ideas for some battle? I know my team WILL be using fire, as one of the players is a descendant of Asmodeus and burns everying to cinders, lol

  • Possible map for roll20 game

The map is great for a start off map.....but you will find yourself soon mapping more :) I use my own world i've been working on for years...adding more as I go along. BUT.....I will say, I "borrow" from the published campaigns often, sometimes incorporating the quests within the book into my own world and campaign. I'd like to think it's a nice blend. Though, I've not much time or ability for mapping lately (I've a debilitating shoulder problem that is causing my map hand/arm significant pain), I've so much content that I've been able to DM without interruption these last months. Also, I and my players enjoy the little touch of Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance easter eggs I've included :)

  • The Sunken Temple

Well, call me old fashioned. I still play around a table behind a DM screen with minis on the table and plenty of snacks :) I do print out my maps since most of the time I configure them to fit on a 24x18 or 36x24 posters - though sometimes I will put a map up on my tv if it's too large or has too many rooms to explore and keep covered on the table

  • Altar of Blibdoolpoolp

So I've done some underwater maps in the past. A favorite, in particular, was for a guild contest.....i did an underwater sacrificial altar to a sea gorgon. I decided to do something similar, but incorporate it into my long, ongoing homebrew campaign for an upcoming sea voyage on a PCs personal quest. Here's an altar to the kuo-toa Sea Mother, Blibdoolpoolp (what a mouthful) their mad and vengeful patron goddess. It's such a pretty symbol set, it's almost a shame to have made it so sinister :)

(note I've used additional symbols in this map for anyone looking for these in their own annual)
