I was reading another forum, and several people were talking about battle mats/maps. The ones they had found had buildings. So I was thinking of making some that are just woods areas, with different paths, different bushes and trees, different backgrounds, etc. Along with no grid, square grid, hex grid; color and B/W.

So here are several preliminary maps. Same background, with path and shrubbery differences.

I used to have a similar problem with keyboards. Two part time jobs and my computer at home. Seven different keyboard layouts I used over a period of a week. Ampex orange monitor and keyboard, CRAY YMP-2 keyboard, 4 different ms-dos '104 key standard layout' but they didn't match, a Sun 4 work station, and an Amiga A1000 computer.

Yeah, they changed it. England and Northwest Europe, Germanic Europe ( which they took out a few years ago, now added back), Ireland, Scotland. There are also some of the Islands near Scotland, but not all of them.And that tiny amount of Native American. They took out Norway. Oh, well. They'll update it next year, it will move again.

My Native American Ancestry is now leaving out most of the US Southwest, and adding in all of Canada.

Refining their methods, sounds more like they are tossing darts at a map.

I have taken templates, modified them to my needs, and saved as a different filename.

Narrow passage on the left of the center entrance is a sally port into the room. I had the wall shadow at 4, but that turned the 5' wide corridor into one large shadow, so I changed it to 3. The square grid is now 25 feet. It wont be in the final map, I'm using it as construction lines.
