I really like this map, Jim. I don't know exactly what draws me to it - probably something in the layout of the hills and roads. It looks like a place I'd want to set an adventure!

Hi Jim! I was a committed metal-head in high school, and love me some old-school Judas Priest, Dior, Deep Purple, etc!

These days I'm much more sedate in my tastes, but I still throw on some of the old classics occasionally. I had my 6 year old head banging to Judas Priest just last week ?. Of course, right now he's into everything from Blake Shelton to AC/DC, Mumford & Sons (edited for language...) to James Taylor.

Not sure I've ever been to a meeting / debate where the uniformity of the seating lasted longer than the first 5 or 10 people arriving - if that long. It just looks well used to me :). I like it!

I'd like to claim this one. I probably won't be able to get it done before the deadline (though I'll try), but I've got an idea for it I'd like to develop anyway.

Alexandria was about 1.5 x 1.5 miles (5.3 square miles) when the population was around 300,000. I think.

I found myself wishing I could both "Awesome" and "Insightful" this! Very interesting (to me) that some folks who find CC too difficult to learn have bought it not once, but twice... and for redonculous amounts of money. There must be something very attractive about the software to entice this irrational expenditure.

I prefer the map center to be the 0,0 coordinate on some maps - primarily my whole world maps. I unhide and unfreeze all sheets and layers except the "Template" layer, then do a n0n-visual move. I select everything, set the center of the map as the origin of the move (I usually have to do this visually using the snap grid), then type 0,0 as the destination, hit "Do It," and Bob's Your Uncle.

So far it hasn't seemed to present any difficulties or errors down the line, and this makes the 0,0 coordinate the map center so it seems like it would work for JulianDraco's needs as well.

The number of things this program can do that I either forget about or never glom onto is amazing. I didn't know until reading this thread that CD can generate linked floorplans straight from the map! What a cool feature!
