  • Watabou City REVISED (annual 157)

OK, watabou referenced a reddit post where the user fixed the issue for a short time by opening the site in Edge rather than Chrome. I tried that, and it worked but the issue then reappeared in Edge as well. That led me to what I believe is the real solution.

@Elfling I use the browser settings to set my zoom on most websites to 75% or so. This causes no issues with the watabou sites initially, but when I close the tab and then return to the site later (with the zoom already set to 75%), that's when the issue occurs. Resetting the zoom to 100%, leaving the site/closing the tab, then returning to the site fixes the issue for me, at least.

  • Using Special Characters

Most likely, this is because that character isn't included in the font you're using. When I make a map and put in text in the Bookman Old Style font, for example, and use the alt code for Û, it shows up fine. But when I change the font to Viner Goblin Hand it just returns a blank space, because whoever developed the Goblin Hand font didn't include that character when they wrote it.

  • Rathillien & Perimal Darkling

Heh, thanks. I was thinking the same thing. It's a little hard to read so I went through every other font on my system looking for one I liked better, but this one really fits the map and the books it's based on.

It's CrEAtoR cAmpoTYPe SmcP. I looked for a link to share, but I can't find it in any of the usual font sites. Don't remember where I got it, now.

  • Live Mapping: Herwin Wielink Isometric Dungeons

I've used them as battle maps before, for combat areas with tricky elevation changes (stairs & multiple levels, low walls that could be used as cover or to stand atop for higher ground, etc).

  • Style Request: East Asian Floorplan/Dungeon

I've used them for battle maps, but not often - it's harder to just throw one together quickly.

I've used them more often as visual aids to help players visualize a scene, or just for my own fun.

I've intended to try combining a Perspectives scene with a DAZ figure, but haven't so far...
