Still working on my Traveller site. Nothing uploaded yet, but I have about 100 planet maps on 4 sectors. Just have to do the uwp for each, post articles, and do a few solar system maps.

  • The 'NoDucks' version 3

Entrance from the side this time. Yes, the background is not stone or water, but I like it. Rather preliminary map. Yes, two chickens. One inside a large cage guarded by skeletons. First two rooms.

  • The 'NoDucks' version 3

    Updated map.

Room 1) chicken in a cage, green glowing chicken. Guarded by 3 skeletons, and an ogre around the corner.

Room 2) a green glowing chicken, in a room with 3 chests. It is mostly hidden behind a broken table. Must be larger than a typical chicken then.

Room 12) treasure chest on a stone pedestal. Something is in the water.

  • [FT3] Settings to make single-island maps

I typically generated a world. Export the png, then use IrfanView to copy out what I wanted. Then insert it into cc3, using it as a guide.

I pick a template to insert it into to make an island. Some of the islands on my Crestar site were continents in ft3.

Well, I rested fairly well last night, so I came up with some map names this morning.

Map location 16 is near the top of this map. So I can map that next. Skipping 15 until later, which is off this map to the North.

I'll have to redo this map. I was very tired yesterday, and this is a city template, overland map. Mountains aren't 20 feet across. Not a big deal. I can fix it.

The entrance area, the rocks bitmap fill was on sheet text. Fixed it.

    3) barracks, the wall is between 5 and 6 feet thick. Probably should be thicker.

    4) barracks, the beds are larger than in room 3. In room 3 they are a bit over 5 feet tall. So unless they hired tall humans to help with the defenses, I can scale down those beds.

The ladders are each ends of most passageways is to show they are not at floor level. Is there another way to show them about 5 feet up ?

Moved the passageway between 2 and 3.

I'll be adding caves off of 6 dining area, those caves will have spiral stairs up to the ground level redoubt.

  • Grimdark Fantasy (renamed "Darklands") - development thread

    My post vanished.

Anyway. I dont exhibit the symptoms so I'm okay. I checked with my sister, who keeps better track with that stuff, and she said I'm fine.

Microwaving my supper. Says to not stir potatoes. Done and on my paper plate so I guess I can stir them now.

Doctor said we should be fine unless we have symptoms. My sibling told me I'm okay after I listed my symptoms. No fever, nothing on the list of symptoms.

As for the map, there are some items in the newer Annuals I am going to try.

The Deep Level. Definately needs work. Cliffs are on the symbols sheet. Water on the water sheet. Floor on the floor sheet.

  • After Print - Zoom to extents shows blank white screen.

Items outside the map border happen to me occasionally. Rarer these days, but they do happen.

My computer will hiccup, and the symbol I was about to place isn't on the map.

I zoom extents, and see my map shrink to nothing. Sometimes I don't notice until the next hour, next day, etc.

I find mine by doing a rectangular erase on each of the 4 map sides. When it says there is an object there. But I don't see it, I do a list in the same rectangle. And find my lost symbol. Erase it. Zoom extents again, and unless there are more of ghem, them, map returns visibly so I can continue.

I save as with a different number on the filename and continue mapping.
