Grrr. How annoying! I'm sorry, Sue. I've had a bunch of issues since that last big Windows update, but most of mine have involved my pc crashing, locking me out (have to unplug and then reboot), and some programs acting oddly... and a noticeable slowdown in everything. My interwebs have mostly remained untouched except for streaming videos which freeze all the time now. Sigh...
Make sure that your network card is not set for "Power Saving". Not sure exactly what the option is called. But you should find it in the Device Manager.
I am beginning to think the connection popup is set to show after a fraction of a second of no response. Years ago it would keep trying for about 5 minutes before it timed out.
They need to give it a minute before time out. Not the current nanoseconds...
I had to reset my router yesterday, then everything Internet wise started working again.
I managed to grab the latest Win 10 patch for the Intel boob, and I'm back now.
However, I've got myself a bit sidetracked into doing up an FT world for a friend of mine, so progress on this thread may be a bit slow for a few weeks.
There could be a few spin offs, though, since I'm getting better and better at making mountains in Wilbur - and the mountains to go with these fills will be top down shaded mountains made in Wilbur

I followed a video one of the Guild Community Leaders linked me to when I got online a few hours ago.
The settings are all as they should be. Its the processor speed - the latest Intel update.

I looked it up and discovered I need a new screen. The cost of that, though, I really would be better off getting a new machine!
I can live with it for now, but I don't know if these things get hot and damage the rest of the screen, do they?
No
Its going to take about 12 months for me to save up enough to replace this thing!
