  • Thanks Dogtag! Your input really helped move me in the right direction by getting me to think about what the coast should look like. The title font is Kelt, and the town names are just Times New Roman which I've found to be one of the best looking but easy to read fonts for smaller text.

Lorelei, I am one of your biggest fans, so coming from you, this really means a lot to me. Thank you for making my day. :)

Shessar's map is now online in the atlas. Thanks for contributing.

We are slowly getting towards having the whole world mapped out at continent level.

Also remember that we need all kinds of detail maps for this world. See the sticky for details.

*blushes* Really, though, I cannot wait....I've already starting thinking about the ice cave i want to work on! Huh, maybe Sue is right, I must be going through a water phase....even my map is a jungle/rainforest...and now ice? In any case, the ice and snow capped mountains to the south are just calling to me.

Careful now! That's how it starts. @-)
  • That is beautiful. Really something to be emulated.
  • Thanks Barliman!

Lorelei, you should post in the Atlas sticky to request the ice cave. I would love to see you do it!

For myself, I am considering requesting either one of JimPs fishing villages/cities or a regional section of my first continent. However, I really need to do some design work and mapping for my own campaign before I work any more on this. :)
  • I totally missed out on the progress of your map.

It turned out absolutely amazing. I love how you did the mountains and the green valley in between.

I have one little point of criticism:
Have you considered putting the snowy area north of Dunor on a separate sheet and add a slight transparency effect? Since the land site around the river at Dunor is snow free, it would in my opinion be more plausible if the snow cover would be a bit lighter than the one in the south.
  • Thanks Hadrian!

Thanks for the suggestion too! I don't disagree with you. There is a slight transparency on the snow but the colors in this map were causing serious transparency acne and since I needed the edge fades and transparencies to blend things, any solids I used underneath to prevent the holes would show through too much. I reached a point of compromise on using just a bit of transparency vs using a solid opposing color as a shield. I reached a point of 'good enough'. :)
