37 years ago without knowing how to speak English - I still don't know - without having books, dice or any type of material in a third world country where there were almost no imports... I started my life within RPG, drawing maps on paper and some years after Few books, data and other supplements began to arrive.
My head exploded when I finally had access to Karen Wynn's Forgotten Realms Atlas for the first time and started making my handmade maps based on her style. The years passed and with them many stories with friends and obviously maps, lots of maps.
This patchwork quilt gradually came together, and kingdoms and continents began to appear - which joined together and formed a world. "in blacksmith house uses wooden spit" as they say in Brazil - or something like that - I never really advanced on the finished project of a world map of which I already had my preliminary sketches.
Every time I started I abandoned the project - until one fateful day when master @Maidhc O Casain published a map of him and I fell in love with the look presented. It took 3 months before I had the courage to ask him to carry out my project, which luckily for me he decided to embark on.
Here I have the finished map - now I'm going to map the areas for which I already have a sketch, all that's left to do is adapt the new proportions.

The ascent to this small city is carried out using a small rope elevator, powered by human sweat.
To improvise, I used the elven staircase from Schley Citys, the Lord of Overland, and the orc cage.

Ricko, where are you getting some of the Schley symbols from - I do not seem to have them all.
mushrooms, skeleton, some stones and the altar on map above are from Perspectives.
Thanks. Does Mike Schley have other mapping symbols that aren't available through proFantasy, does anyone know - or Jon Roberts, for that matter? I have done a Google search and just come up with Mike's maps, but many contain symbols not available from proFantasy, it seems. Plus, I would love more symbols for Jon Roberts.
I don't own any of them, but there's probably a few "symbols" not readily available within the Schleyscapes:
But I'm guessing some of those (cue: Forlorn Cottage) would be almost a duplicate of the CC3+ offering.

It's a beautiful map, but there's something about the color combination that looks - to me, and it may just be me - like the ocean is higher than the land, rather than the other way around,.
@Ricko Hasche I have to disagree with taustinoc - I think the land does look above the ocean.
As I said, it may just be me.

Only 1 criticism - the forest seems very uniform, and ultra dense - perhaps a bit of variation, and variety in the density?
This region has a completely dense forest, Amazon style.
I also never liked this type of effect, and I prefer placing trees manually, but mapping such a dense area one by one would be crazy even for me.
In theory, in the top right corner there is a box with information.
