Fast scattered symbols
I am working on a map for tomorrow's session that's somewhere between an overland map and a tactical battle map - basically a square mile of hills and forest that will be the site of a skirmish between the PCs and a large group of marauding ogres.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to scatter tree symbols at various densities in defined areas. I thought Fill with Symbols might be what I am looking for, but it doesn't appear to allow for changing the density of the symbol draws (to distinguish between light growth and dense forest, for instance).
I would rather not spend a huge amount of time individually placing tree symbols if I can avoid it. Any suggestions from the wise forum denizens?
"Symbols in Area" might help. If so, good luck!
That command really needs to be updated with new toys like density/probability of placement according to distance from edge, coloring dynamics, "place symbols outside", and so on. The UI is pretty cumbersome already, though.
