Smudge Topography Shenanigans (revisited)
Seeing as things have gone sepia overdrive a little, I thought I might reconstruct this one.

Pen & wash question
Getting there, I guess!
I am quite prepared to declare today National Flood Drain Grill Day, what with how close that beast came within range of the real-life painted visual output. Very, very pleased with BLUR here. Don't forget to observe BLUR Appreciation Day, later this month!
Also happy with leaving layout lines/sketches in the final image. Doesn't necessarily show here yet, but I did it with the spesss mareeen and it kind of has visual merit:
It is, of course, extremely helpful to be able to actually use real-life techniques of going from sketch to finished product. Not that I hand-draw anything: it's still just the standard path/line and circle tools at work here. But it makes it so much easier to plot the paths over references for proportions and general layout etc.
Again, I couldn't draw that in real life. I know how to plot a path; the software is just superior with regards to actually drawing the shapes.
