some battle maps, 75' x 50'
Okay, I'm about half way through the no grid versions. I'm making label and other mistakes, so I'm going to stop here.
Silly me, I discovered if I made a grid 75' x 50' with lines, when I save as a rectangular area, those lines don't show up in the output file.
And I started putting things like holes in the ground, etc. in the last column of 7 maps... but the swamp/marsh, desert, and water pieces, lack details. Like ridges, small islands, deeper areas, etc.
So, I'll work on those later this week.
If you already downloaded them from my site, I finally saw the pieces under the 75' x 50' lines grid, and saw my water and sand were off alignment. Those have been fixed.
Nothing since my uploads yesterday are uploaded. But I will get them done.
I'll place the fixed ones in my Gallery.
I think for my next trick, no rabbits nor Bulwinkle later, I'll make one large water, a large sand, and then add bits to that, and then cut them up. If I remember, I'll export the sand and water ones at 2,000 pixels. I know Epic-Table, and maybe others, can handle jpg/pngs that size.
Whew, off to sleep perchance to dream, but hopefully not of maps.

some battle maps, 75' x 50'
Note that I'm doing this without eyeglasses as my regular ones aren't bifocals, and the screen is too far away for my readers.
All 49, 5' grid, maps, some I moved the symbols and fills around, are done.
I'm heading for lunch, but I'll work on getting them into zip files, 7 maps per file, with text on the article page, and in the zip, as I just numbered them. Easier to download, but I'll see how big more maps per zip will be...
I moved a 75' x 50' grid I made to a different layer... so the 49 maps without grid will be easier to do.
I have been thinking of making several zips of the same type of terrain. There are only 1 swamp, 2 water, and 2 sand pieces. So, I can see making more of those.
Anyway, onward !
Catch ya later, and thanks for the help.
I've added several of them to my Gallery, under battle maps.

What is Steampunk...
I was told it is simply anything that doesn't use electricity. Clockwork and steam. Some things are run by springs, but those wouldn't need to be drawn, just a container with a gear and axel on it.
Basically, electricity didn't work out for some reason. Substitute steam and gears.
Ideas can likely be found in 1880s to early1900s ships and planes. Some of the earliest aircraft were steam powered, not internal combustion engines.
The anime movie Howl's Moving Castle might give you some ideas as well.
Edit. Fixed some typos.
