I made frames by drawing lines with ortho on. I try different widths to see what looks best.

As for a set of particular symbols for say villages in a particular nation... I make a map of a typical village for that nation.

Then go into Symbol Manager and save all of them into a catalog. 'nationname_village.fsc as an example.

Next time I want to map a village in that nation, I load that symbol file.

I agree Sue. Its like being told to paint only inside the lines.

That is why I do multiple 'save as' as I work on my maps.

Load the template, and make basic settings. Save as filename01_0001, do some work, save as filename01_0002, etc. until I am done.

That way if I mess up, and I do, I can go back and branch off in another direction if I need to.

One of my The Mithlas Halls maps had to branch off due to scaling, etc. problems.

For large cities, I found it a good idea to map pieces of it, and then put them together on my web sites. Easier on my computer, and faster to load the individual maps.
