Here's my competition map from yesterday's live stream. Obviously, as the organizer, I an not eligible for any prizes, but it is still fun to compete. You'll find a higher resolution version in my gallery.

With the Community Atlas village competition ongoing, this seems like a good time to just sit down with a simple village map. Quiet little place without any horrible secrets.

As usual, you can see the start time in your timezone in the left sidebar of the forum, or by visiting the video on YouTube.

After making the map, you can use View -> Move Origin to put the 0,0 wherever you want. I recommend turning on snap and cursor snap to make placing it in the exact center more easily

Everything can be named of course, but I feel that huge plain between the desert and the coastal ares deserves a name. It is such a prominent feature. The rest of the mountain ranges, hills and forests would also love a name.

If you want people to freely look around the map and zoom in where they want, the gallery is a better option, but if there are specific places you wish to highlight, it may be better to post those views in the post like this. But you'll always have the option of doing both as well.
