Community Atlas - Derowen Lands - Peredur
Hi @Ricko Hasche, please let me know when you are done with these, I can't start adding them to the atlas until I know you're done tinkering with them. I've added your other two threads.
I love your maps, and you've done a good job keeping things to correct scale and everything else in order making it easy for me to add them to the atlas. Not everyones maps have been this easy to add. I have two small requests for future maps though:
- Naming: Several of your maps are named something because you have a city symbol in the middle of the map bearing that name. This is a bit of a problem, because is someone is going to map that city later, their map should be named for the city name itself, the area map containing the city symbol should have a name based on the area (you've been pretty good at filling up your maps with names, so I am sure you can make up a name for the area too). An example of this is your Bughole map, but Bughole here is just a small place on the map, the map itself shouldn't be named for this. If you can't come up with a good area name, a name like Bughole environs or similar can also work. Also, it is easier for me if the filename is the proper map name, no numbering in the front, and no replacing spaces with underscores or the like
- Lots of your maps have entities sticking out beyond the screen. This looks very bad in the atlas when people see the actual fcw file, so I always fix this, but it would make things quicker for me if this was already fixed. The COLLARDEL and COLLARAUTO commands are great ways of fixing this quickly.

Quo Vadis Monthly Symbols?
I would love to see dungeon/floorplan symbols expanded for SS4. I always seem to be missing some symbols for my maps. I would love to see small sets based on rooms/professions, such as:
- The Smithy
- The Stable
- The Library
- The Kitchen
- The Chapel
- Alchemist's Laboratory
- Rogue's Room
- Fighter's Room
- Wizard's Room
- Priest's Room
- Ranger's Room
- Paladin's Room
- Halfling Den
- Elven Abode
- Gnomish Hut
- Armorer's Shop
- Forester's Hut (including tree stumps)
- Torture Chamber
- Prison Cell
- The Garden
- City Streets
- Animal Pack
- People Pack
- Siege Weaponry
- The Castle
- Shipboard Equipment
- Dragon's Lair
- Mystic Portals
- The Inn
- Stained and Ruined Furniture
- Murder Victims
For overland, I wouldn't mind some more decorative elements, like more ships, airships (both those that look like a fantasy variant of a modern zeppelin, and the more high fantasy ones that look like an actual huge ship carried by a ballon). Different city styles from various cultures and time periods are also very appreciated, I wouldn't mind seeing some modern-looking cities to plop down on that map, and perhaps some steampunk-flavored ones too.

Dialog box different from Livemapping session
It's just a case of DD3 vs. SS4 menus. When SS4 was first released, the DD3 tools wasn't part of the core package, so SS4 shipped with a menu set that brought up the standard drawing tools instead of the specialized dungeon tools. Just hit the :DD2: button on your toolbar, and the room button should bring up the desired dialog.

Testing some anti-spam features
Hi everyone,
I am just testing some anti-spam measures. Ideally, no one should notice anything at all, but if you for some reason get the message that your comment will be posted once it has been approved instead of just appearing immediately, this is why. Rest assure that if it happens, I will approve your comment as soon as possible.
Now, please be aware that this should not happen to established users (rank newcomer or above), so if it happens, it will be because something is not working as intended. (This is why we test, right?)
Ideally, new users shouldn't notice anything either, but if your post is classified as potential spam, it means it goes to moderator review before being made public. My goal is to have as few of these cases as possible, because I know how annoying that is as a new user to encounter a mandatory spamblock just because you are new.
I would also remind everyone that the way a user is promoted up the ranks is by post count and points combined. Points comes from reactions (Like, Awsome, Insightful, LOL). It is therefore helpful if everyone refrains from helping spammers up the ranks by giving them reactions. This is mostly a problem when people give reactions to someone just because they post an introduction post and say they are new. If they actually say something sensible (gives a good introduction, says something about mapmaking, etc) by all means, go ahead and give them that like, but if their introduction is completely generic ("Hi, I am new", "looking forward to talking with everyone", etc..), please give the reaction a pass, otherwise you are more likely to aid a spammer bypass measures rather than send a kind signal to a new member. (In the latter case, maybe post a reply challenging them to tell something about their mapmaking instead, that way they both get a welcoming reply, as well as being tested)
