  • My First Map - Cthulhu Caves

If you wish to upload maps in higher resolution than supported in a forum post, you can upload them to your gallery.

  • Reinstalling on a new machine - where do I find my custom tools to import?

Saved effects settings are found in @System\Effects. They are regular .fcw files

Drawing tools are found in @System\Drawtools. Each style has it's own folder here, and each draw tool is a .dto file, and if it is a macro tool it will also have a .dtm file and optionally a .fcw (for preview) file.

Effects are stored in the map, so existing maps will have all their effects on a new install.

  • Polygon Fill...

If the poly is filled or not is determined by the line width. If the line width is 0, you get a filled shape, but if the line width is greater than zero, you get an outline of that specified width.

As for being on top of everything else, there are two things to keep in mind

    • Layers, doesn't control ordering, sheets do. So it doesn't matter what layer you put it on, you need to put it on the appropriate sheet
    • When drawing something, it will always appear on top of everything immediately upon drawing it. It finds it's correct place in the drawing order the next time the map is redrawn (redraw command, zooming, scrolling will all cause that)

  • Export separate sheets

Sorry, no, CC3+ doesn't support transparency on exports. This is no exception.

Since you can't get sheet status (hidden or not) from a macro, you can't easily export just visible sheets this way, this takes all of them. I guess you could ask the user for each sheet, but that would be annoying and I've found that throwing up dialogs between exports seems to sometimes be crash prone. Best solution would probably be to make a copy of the drawing, then delete all the irrelevant sheets from the copy and just let the macro do them all.

  • Lines

Sure, after placing the first point, type in the second point on the command line as <45,30 where the first part after the comma is the bearing, the second is the distance.

Keep in mind that the bearing is based on CC3+'s coordinate system (your standard mathematical coordinate system) and not compass directions, so 0 is right (east), 90 is up (north), 180 is left (west) and 270 is down (south).

You'll find more about coordinates here.
