The Sunken Temple
Well, call me old fashioned. I still play around a table behind a DM screen with minis on the table and plenty of snacks :) I do print out my maps since most of the time I configure them to fit on a 24x18 or 36x24 posters - though sometimes I will put a map up on my tv if it's too large or has too many rooms to explore and keep covered on the table

Community Atlas - Etrani Estate House, Calosirto Village, Ambraci
So i've been playing around with the Mike Schley and Forlorn Cottage styles and came up with this (second floor in progress)....It's actually an adaptation of a manor house in Sussex, England from 1875 (I found an old floorplan online). I may do a quick village and add this as a large estate nearby.... -
Community Atlas 500th map and 4 year anniversary competition with prizes.
Sue...that's exactly what that site was meant to be. If you ever have the time, or inclination, i'd still love to see what you'd do with my "frozen yellowstone" as i thought of it when making the map :) I'd love to participate in this challenge, but i've just got a new rig and am busy redownloading everything, including my thousands and thousands of assets i've acquired over the years working with this program. I am devastated i've lost the beta CSAUC files, as a few of those didn't make it into the release and i've a few red xs on maps i cannot fix. But...the new system is super FAST, so i should be up and running soon. Can't wait to see what everyone does. Incidentally, this contest is super conveniently timed - my players are actually just making their way to Skorra (i've transplanted many of my atlas contributions into my own homebrew world) at tonight's session

Transparency not working on imported jpg file...
Well, im not sure what happened for you, likely Remy can figure out the technical bits, but i had no problem inserting the file and adding the transparency. I believe your layers were frozen, so that may be why. Anyway, i did, however, set it at 20% before i really noticed the transparency effect for this png. Also, i noticed you had your reference sheet waaaaaaay down at the back. you may want to place it at the top of your sheets (sheets go in opposite order - the top of your list is essentially the bottom sheets on your map)
Cheers!

Well, the style/template you choose for your maps usually have a set sheet order, but you can alter that as you get more proficient with the program and more comfortable with it. For now, i would stick with the predetermined sheet order.
However, think of your sheets like the order of a picture, with the top sheets as your first layers of paint, and each sheet a new layer, or color of paint - if that analogy helps (it did for me). And, if i am trying to figure out where a sheet falls or what might be on a sheet, you can always hide all the sheets and then systematically show one at a time ;)

Shessar's Battlemap Competition- Winners Announced!
Storm, this is beautiful!! Great job! I am unfortunately not going to be able to enter this contest. I was commissioned by a company to make a total of 4 2'x3' maps for their line of rpg games, so i've been developing some ideas and gearing up to start working on these maps! Good luck to you all! I'll be watching
