We should form a gaming group here. I, too, have moved from my in person gaming group and it's disheartening to not find another in a new location. I also enjoy good roleplay and do not want to just "fight".....that's what Warhammer is for, which is great, but not ROLEPLAY. There are so many of us who love playing, and many who i read about not getting the opportunity. I'd be happy to start a group on say, Roll20. We can have alternating people DM, depending on time zones. It could be an open-world kind of game where, if you're available, you play, and if not, you don't. I've seen groups like that on Roll20 get up anywhere from 20-50 players playing at all different times. It could be video and voice, voice, or just texting in chat if that's what people were comfortable with. It would, however, have to be in English, so texting only would certainly be helpful for non-English speakers across the world. It would be a fun way for everyone to showcase their maps they've made with encounters in mind that never make it to playing tables or VTT. If this would be of interest, i can start an alternative thread to get an idea how many others would be interested in this. Let me know, and sorry for the thread hijack, but i find it very unacceptable that maps as beautiful and creative as Ricko's were not put in play of a good role playing game!

I LOVE this. I am so happy to see that my series inspired you, which is exactly why Ralf asked me to do this, i am sure! It's always helpful to see the creations people use with the Annuals, inspiring others to expand their CC3 catalog and get some of the older Annuals that may have been overlooked.

Thank you for sharing, as you all know, i am famous for taking others .fcw files and customizing them for my own campaigns to save time. Excellent maps @Royal Scribe !

  • Community Atlas 500th Map Competition Results

Congrats to all the participants! Great maps to those who won this competition. I'm so in awe of some of the creative and excellent maps here. To those who didn't.....don't get discouraged....if you want to see progress.....take a look through some old threads at some of my first maps - ooof! But, today I've been named 2018 Master Mapper and have had various mapping commissions, one of which you may notice here on the PF blog, All the Annuals. It just takes some practice and dedication to the craft, that's all :) Keep at it new mappers....and keep the gorgeous maps coming everyone!!

  • My new website!

Okay, so as i have professed here in the past, I have little to no skills in the tech department. The fact I have figured out this program, generally amazes me with every use. Anyway, I was contacted again by a fellow gamer who is putting together another D&D adventure module on The Wizards of the Coast's DMs Guild for purchase. He had commissioned the battlemap for his first module from me, and apparently he did well enough to start another and has asked me to create another map. I happily agreed. It was a pretty easy map, and took little time to put together, with the exception of finding a few images I didn't have. So, I agreed to make another map for him and it got me thinking......I have decided to try to put together a website to display some of my maps to get out there to other fellow gamers. So here is my cheesy website. Enjoy.

  • Treehouse ideas

Thank you :) Well, i put the trees (many different photorealistic trees from various sites and artists) on various sheets with differing shadow heights, as well as separate sheets for the buildings on said trees. I also played around with a glow (outer) on the trees so they "pop". Lastly, I made the forest floor a bit blurry to give the impression of height for the trees

  • Possible map for roll20 game

The map is great for a start off map.....but you will find yourself soon mapping more :) I use my own world i've been working on for years...adding more as I go along. BUT.....I will say, I "borrow" from the published campaigns often, sometimes incorporating the quests within the book into my own world and campaign. I'd like to think it's a nice blend. Though, I've not much time or ability for mapping lately (I've a debilitating shoulder problem that is causing my map hand/arm significant pain), I've so much content that I've been able to DM without interruption these last months. Also, I and my players enjoy the little touch of Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance easter eggs I've included :)

I'm loving the fine details you're putting into this, especially the water around the dock posts

Dragonlance is my favorite WOTC setting, as I remember decades ago getting my hands on a softcover copy of Dragons of Autumn Twilight and smuggling it into my study room back in 1986. I was supposed to be studying for Regents Exams and instead, i was meeting the likes of my favorite misunderstood mage Raistlin, Tannis, and all the other Heroes of the Lance. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your maps. I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to even download CC3 onto my new rig and make maps in months. I'm pretty behind on the All the Annuals....but I'm surely enjoying your creations!

Sue...that's exactly what that site was meant to be. If you ever have the time, or inclination, i'd still love to see what you'd do with my "frozen yellowstone" as i thought of it when making the map :) I'd love to participate in this challenge, but i've just got a new rig and am busy redownloading everything, including my thousands and thousands of assets i've acquired over the years working with this program. I am devastated i've lost the beta CSAUC files, as a few of those didn't make it into the release and i've a few red xs on maps i cannot fix. But...the new system is super FAST, so i should be up and running soon. Can't wait to see what everyone does. Incidentally, this contest is super conveniently timed - my players are actually just making their way to Skorra (i've transplanted many of my atlas contributions into my own homebrew world) at tonight's session
