I'm also noticing as I look at this map again that the relative scale of much of it needs to be adjusted. The village buildings are all of a similar size as the manor house, which in turn is MUCH smaller than it should be relative to the size of the castle itself. I'd need to tinker with that stuff if I decided to put in a scale bar, at least.

I'll see if opening it up and tinkering with it brings any inspiration...

Has anyone tried Foundry VTT? I like what I'm reading about it being a perpetual (pay once, use forever) license. Looks like there's lots of support both from developers and from third-parties.

Does anyone have any direct experience they can share?

I always use non-visual paste when I'm following this process; it keeps it from constantly trying to redraw while I type the paste origin (usually 0,0 as Sue said).

I really like that bridge in the Earth Temple - especially the transition from bridge to stone floor! Masterfully done!

These are great! The only thing I see that might need changing is that the shadows in the nighttime version(s) seem to be going the wrong direction to have been cast by the moon.

I picked up the Affinity suite (on Sue's recommendation) and have never looked back. Great quality/value.
