Still working on my Traveller site. Nothing uploaded yet, but I have about 100 planet maps on 4 sectors. Just have to do the uwp for each, post articles, and do a few solar system maps.

  • YAWIP: Sea Star, a Dark city seaport

A bit of farmland just to the left of map 2. Note that map 2 doesn't have a wall on the right side of the map. More city in that direction.

  • How would I design maps for printing on multiple sheets of paper.

    Open campaign cartographer.

    Ctrl-P to print.

Look towards the bottom of the print popup.

Tiling. You can set the number vertical and horizontal.

I have a pdf printer installed on my computer, so I can print to pdf to see how the symbol density will look.

I have the free bullzip pdf printer, there are likely others to use out there.

I have never done this, so I might have missed something.

To me, steam punk is gears and steam, some springs, to replace that electricity thing, which didn't pan out.

  • YAWIP: Sea Star, a Dark city seaport

Yup, there was only html pages way back when.

My drive-in movie theater site had around five thousand html pages.

To show the world surface map thumbnails, I made html pages. Six columns per page. There is overlap, so the sixth column of such maps, is repeated on the next html page.

Currently, I have 11 done out of 14. These are mostly my original maps... well, these are mostly CC3. You might spot some of my CC2/CC2Pro maps, when I had no one to talk to, and I hadn't yet gone over the booklet tutorials. These are before the essentials pdfs. Some are likely before I joined the now gone Yahoo group. These are mostly much better than my first maps. I'll also be moving Dwarf Home over to this sub-domain.

  • Suggestions for Variable River Size

I use Smooth Path, place the river. Then fractalize it.

I have 3 saved Strengths. 30%, 20%, and 10% depending on how much fractalizing I want to use.

  • a large city, I have been putting off, now started

Some of these buildings are shops, some homes. The large ones can be mansions or apartment blocks. Two amphitheaters.

I have the Japanese town buildings in one of the maps.

The tiny looking houses are scale 2. The rest of the symbols are scale 2 up to 6. With most being 3 or 5. The top most map, the small buildings/houses are scale 2.

The original maps are just different color blocks and shapes. So I decided to not use Watabou for that reason.

  • CC3+ in Windows 11

I am on a forum about Windows 11 and Windows 10 ( separate forums). Some of the folks their have said they are having problems with Win 11 running some of the software they use. You might ask them if there are any difficulties with Win 11.

I haven't been checking over the past few weeks.

Added more buildings to this one, including a ruined area. Made use of vari-color symbols. to.

This one I saved as 1000 pixels, 2000 pixel one in my gallery.

  • looking for the original, a starship

I modified this years ago. So the labeling is off from the original. It was part of a huge star ship. I don't remember if it was CC2Pro, or CC3.

I don't see it in my files now, except for this bit. Anyone know where it came from ? Would have to be a Profantasy product. When I checked Drawing Properties, it just says Default.

    Thanks.
