October Community Challenge - City Streets - VOTING POLL in first post
Thanks for participating everyone. It is now November all over the world, so the challenge is officially over. Of course, if you are working on a map and it isn't quite done yet, we will still love to see it when it is done, and I would still love to have the map for the atlas even if it didn't reach the challenge in time.
I've now put up the 6 maps that were submitted in the first post of the thread, and added a poll there. So, please go back to the first post and cast a vote for which map you think was the best map from this challenge.
I'd like to thank everyone that did submit a map in time, and good luck with the vote. However, do keep in mind that this "best map" vote at the end is just an extra bit of fun. The main idea with this challenge is to challenge yourself, maybe to do something you haven't done before, or to improve your skills. There are people of all skill levels here in the forum, and it shouldn't be the hope of winning that determines your participation or not, but rather the fun of participating. Also remember, even if your map should end up with zero votes, it doesn't mean people didn't like your map, just that it wasn't anyone top candidate.
Please remember when voting that this is a mapping competition first and foremost, and while we all love beautiful maps, I encourage you to take into account how they've solved the task of actually mapping their selected location in the city when deciding who to vote for, not just the artistic merit. The street should be a representaion of what we see on the city map, but obviously, that is a simplified view, so some interpretation of that is certainly expected.
I'll leave the voting open until November 7th.

Problems with CC3+ 3.94 crashing...
Not really related to crashing, but that image of yours isn't the best to trace. You don't really want those narrow rivers represented as holes in your landmass. Same with lakes really. (There are some advantages to doing it that way, but in general it complicates things.)
Honestly, I am a bit confused about that image, my mind can't really process it. If the white is water, your landmass in black loos really odd with those straight water section north and south, and if the white is landmasses, then what is the white lines? But in general, when you are using traced, you'll want to start with just the landmasses. Ocean and rivers can then be made as a separate polygon in a separate pass.

WIP Commission, Ancient Tombs
The symbol won't update in the symbol catalog when you edit the symbol in the map. Editing a symbol in the map won't affect the global symbol catalog.
You can click the :ICON_DRAWING: button to have the symbol catalog show the symbols in the current map.
(Also keep in mind the symbol catalog window does not react to changes dynamically, it only updates when you manually force it to, such as by re-loading the symbol catalog or toggling symbols in map.)

Floor Disappears
If it only happens when the effects are on, it is probably one of the effects on that sheet that has to large a size.
If you can't spot the guilty one immediately, try disabling the effects on the sheet one by one.
And also make sure your floors are on the sheet you believe they are, you can check this with the Info -> List command.

What is CA125?
There are no official list of these numbers, I guess mainly because it's not something normally needed, these are just for internal reference really, and anyone with the annual will have the matching folder to check it up, it is only when accidents like this happens with a template that you are really exposed to numbers for annuals you don't own.
It is pretty easy to calculate the issue though. The annual have always been 12 issues a year (bonus issues don't get a separate number), so just divide by 12, drop the fraction, then add 2007 and you have the year. The fraction you just dropped multiplied by 12 should give you the month if needed. If you want the volume number instead of the year, just add 1 instead of 2007.
So 125 would be 125/12 + 2007 = 10(.417) + 2007 = 2017; .417 * 12 = 5 = May. And May 2017 is easy to find on the annuals page.

Video tutorials for beginners
YouTube is somewhat peculiar when you post several videos at once. I've seen the same happen with videos from others I follow, my subscriber stream only lists the first video even though the rest are available.
I'll try to avoid that in the future, but I couldn't really start a new series with just that intro video alone.
