Autosave deliberately save to a separate file to make sure to not accidentally overwrite your actual map file with what is perhaps unwanted changes, for example when testing things.. This is how autosave works in most software. I guess a more correct name would be "recovery save" or something like that, but autosave has just stuck in most software as the common term. It is not a replacement for manual saves, just an extra layer of security, so yes, you should always manually save before exiting. (Personally, I have autosave on, but the dialog off, so it autosaves silently in the background, which is what most other software does by default)

Note that the images on the atlas is stored in a distributed CDN system so it can take a while before the new version will be visible after I make a new export.

If you need to know exactly what is from which add-on, you can use the IRD command (D stands for Detail).

And that cobble fill is some weird reference that turns up in some templates.

Most templates have references for these available as part of the template.

Hit the :ICON_DRAWING: button, and you'll most probably have them available near the top of the symbol catalog window.

I have to agree with Ralf, my own setting, Virana, has to be my favorite. I loved the forgotten Realms for many years, that is where I started my journey, first by playing computer games like Eye of the Beholder, and later pen'n'paper games set there.

But, while all the detail is wonderful, I also found it a bit limiting in the end, so I created my own world and never looked back. It allowed me to make a world that was a perfect match to the campaigns I wanted to run.

I am not good at updating the Wiki, so only basic information and maps can be found there, but it is an overview at least.

A vacation sounds good. Maybe I'll manage to catch up before the next batch :)

How are you selecting the background? Due to the fact that the background is a big rectangle with the water on top, you can't select it where it meets the water since that would cause you to select the the water instead.

The easiest is probably to just temporarily hide ALL sheets except BACKGROUND, then change it, then show those sheets again.

There are currently 1079 maps in the atlas (169 of them yours). But I still have a couple of sets in queue, so I am guessing we'll be around 1100 or so when I am done.
