I cant get my hex grid to freeze
I'm so tired of this. My Hex grid won't freeze. Yes the I made sure that the hex is labeled a hex. I even froze all while I had walls activated to see if that helped. when I went to copy the wall It selected the hex grid too. I could hide it and do it that way but It should not be a problem. Plz help me. I'm starting to think it's a bug.
This is what I did from the start.
1. Make a new map
2. Dungeon (decide my self)
3. DD3 Dungeon
4. 200x160
5. Grid overlay (hex, horizontal)(Grid spacing 6) (unchecked labeling)
6. Finish
7. I went to Draw>>Hex or square overlay checked draw corners and clicked apply
8. Right Clicked walls Choose Wall, cobble grey, straight
9. Then made a box wall
10. Make sure hex is frozen (and it is by default)
11. Then proceed to copy. THEN IT SELECTS THE GRID! ahhhhhhh

If you freeze all, except the active layer, and it is still selectable, then it is on the active layer.

The other thing I don't understand about your command sequence is the draw->grid. Seems like that should have already been set up for you when you made the new drawing. However, that shouldn't have anything to do with your problem.
Anyway I tried typing what you said in the command bar nothing changed.
Layers are where things are frozen and thawed and determiones what is selected and what isn't when you use an edit, etc. command.
It doesn't matter as the layers freeze and thaw the grid. It has nothing to do with sheets.

Sevrick: look at that thread and the workaround (which I'd forgotten). Maybe it will do what you need. If it doesn't work, I'd suggest posting the file so we can see what's up.
