Importing an .svg file?
Hello,
How do I best import a scalable vector graphics (SVG) file from a program like an Inkscape into CC3? I prefer not to lose the nodes and not go by the way of a raster image. Any ideas?
TIA

I don't think it can. But in the worlds of wonder discussion there should be mention of a svg to png converter. Pngs can be imported and traced. Or just do a web search, in case I got the wrong discussion.
You should be able to convert it to DXF and import that, though. There are a number of free conversion web sites.
Thx. I was able to "save as" DXF directly in Inkscape and able to insert it into CC3. The imported line shows as multiple segments. Is there a way to combine the segments once I have imported? For example, a river is imported as have multiple segments. Is there a way to combine the multiple segments into one line?
I think something like the opposite of EXPLODE.
You can use Combine Path to marge several segments into one. (Ignore the last two steps of that tutorial that deals with turning the combined path into a closed poly)
Haha I was so close. What worked is _Right_ click Explode>Line to Path.
Thx!
