So I've added some trees. I used John Roberts 2022. I like the look of the trees. I placed it on the trees sheet, which has a bit of a blend/fade effect to it. I am not 100% sold on the trees. I am wondering if I should leave it on the symbols sheet or just try a different tree style. Maybe Midgard World. Another option is no trees at all and just use color.
The choice of trees is up to you, but something to bear in mind when borrowing things from other styles is that while you might love the look of the trees from an alternative style that doesn't mean they will automatically be the best match for the style of the map you are making. If you don't like the combination maybe try a few other styles, including the trees native to the style of the map. Similar styles usually work better together than vastly different ones, and it is usually easier if the two styles have a similar colour scheme.
In regards to trees, I am looking for something that matches the style but isn't as primitive looking as what is in the default style. I sort of liked Midgard, but I am going to need trees that can change color. I suppose I could just live with the base tree style. Once faded out, it looks OK.
The CSUAC trees are part of the free third-party resources you can download and install for use with CC3+. The process is not straightforward, however. If you want to try, you can find the links on this Forum information topic.

Maybe the Ancient Realms forest terrain could work instead of trees? https://www.profantasy.com/annual/2015/october15.html
You can always throw in a transparency or colorisation if you find it’s too stark out of the box.

Have you looked at the CSUAC trees ? They aren't vari-color, but thee are several styles/shapes.
Hmm... Most are overhead though, instead of oblique.
You can edit the symbols to make them varicolour, I think.
I've never heard of CSUAC trees.
I have actually followed the tutorial to make varicolor symbols before. I suppose I could do that here with the base style if I went with that.
