Tenants. And that is how the map from a historical fief showed it.
Have you read the map notes accompanying the Manor House.
And the names are meant as guidelines to what they do in addition to their labour in the fields' task. Just for fun, I mean the butcher would probably only butcher 10-15 animals in the entire year, if even that
Fair comment, but that was the map of the fief. And the wives and children would also be expected to work (when they were no involved in satisfying Sir Lionel.
Yes, you are right. I'm working on the church now, so I'll put the cemetery there. I expect quite a few lady ghosts seeking unjustified revenge simply because good Sir Lionel became too enthusiastic!
Here is the description for the Village. Welcome to Paradise! I have now submitted it to Remy Monsen.
Poncegraf Village
This village houses the serfs and freeholders who work the lord’s land. They also have part-time occupations which are indicated by their names (which will become surnames in future generations).
Tim the Barber (serf): It shows that this man is just a part-time barber – just look at the haircuts on his fellow villagers.
Jon the Smith (free holder): What a smith – at least his pitchforks last more than a few uses.
Ron the Butcher (serf): Butcher describes exactly what he does to the meat.
Bel the Healer (serf): Best person to get your tooth extracted as painfully as possible.
Gaz the Bard (serf): No wonder he is a serf – even the rats flee his music. The villages seem to like it – after all, they are all tone deaf.
Ken the Sharpener (serf): Ever taken your blunt tools to get sharpened and they come back just as bad – or worse?
Quen the Miller (freeholder): The one villager that know what he is doing. At least, that is what he says, and blames the bakers for the ‘quality’ of bread that is made from his flour.
Jak the Roper (serf): Better to use reeds, really.
Ham the Weaver (serf): Just as well the villagers like sackcloth.
Jill the Brewer (serf): Well, you can certainly get drunk on this mouthwash.
Fred the Carpenter (serf): Anyone prefer to live under a rock? Fred will persuade you.
Bob the Builder (serf): Just as well the houses here were all erected by someone else.
The maps from the Poncegraf Fief have now been added to the atlas. Thanks for the contribution @Quenten .
