Save As ... jpeg/png causes fcw32.exe error

Any advice to save a map as a jpeg/png without it causing an fcw32.exe error in Vista 64 bit?

Did you try using PDF Creator? Check this thread:

I had a lot of problems with crashing while saving before using that method.
  • Thank you - that's an informative thread. Unfortunately the workaround posted is giving me nothing but blank pages - any thoughts?

You are certain you have your printing options set to "All visible sheets"? Sometimes, CC3 defaults to "Common Sheet Only" in the print dialog, and that would cause a blank page with a standard CC3 drawing.
  • Monson - let me check on that; I'm printing whatever the default is, so perhaps that's exactlyhow you described.

LOL - all of us have made this error at least once (if you're lucky) when printing! :)

The default is set to print common sheet only - I wonder if the default could be changed to all visible sheets by PF, since CC3 relies so heavily on sheets as opposed to previous versions of the program? (and I always seem to forget to change the setting so end up having to print everything twice :)

All templates should have this option set. If you create a new map and find that it's not, do let us know. You can click "Apply" when you've set your print settings, and then that will be saved with the map.
  • I was having this same problem that the folks posting here were having up to last night. When I carefully followed all these steps, and corrected the default, I finally was able to get my first save out. Great stuff. Time to start using CC3 with vigor again.
