Yeah! Finished all the buildings. Now to colour the rest in, then finally, go over the whole map with a fine toothcomb (a non-digital device) to fix any obvious errors or misplacements.
Truly a Herculean effort. Just fantastic!
Thanks, @ScottA
One of my favourite maps I've seen on these forumns. Not saying there aren't other great maps, this is just my preference for map style.
@Don Anderson Jr. Thank you.
Gradually approaching the finale.
Amazing, can't wait for the final version.
Thanks @Don
Here is the finished city - just got to do something with the marshes and sea to break up the repeating pattern.
FINISHED! Any alterations suggested welcome.
I am a tradionalist for layered water depths. Though now I use opacity to tie them together. That would also get rid of the tile effect on the water.
Other than that it's majestic. Great Work.
Thanks, @Don Anderson Jr. for that tip. Thanks for the compliment.
Great work Quenten. It's a lovely map.
Apart from the tiling effect on the water, I also noticed the road fill looks a bit weird, at least when the map is exported at this scale.
The map was a screenshot, not a download. it does all look better as a download. I will fiddle with the water a bit more.
