Fractal Terrains 3+ Install
OK, I know this is going to be specific, but here's the situation.
I use CC3+ and FT3 and both run very well on my Parallels virtual machine on my Macs. This has worked for years and it works great. I've run into the problem that FT3+ will not install because the installer is saying I don't have a 64 bit operating system. The problem is that I do, Win11 and it definitely reports as a 64 bit system.
The installer stops and will not install. I don't a little research and it appears that there may be a switch in the installer that can be set to not fail. In fact, the original version of FT3+ (up thru 3.5.2)installed and is working fine, but when the version went to v3.5.4 the installer stopped working. Not sure if this was intentional or not, but I'm hoping maybe this can be fixed and I can use the newer version.
I'm running parallels v20 on an M2 Mac Studio, Win 11 ARM 64 bit, all updates to everything :).
Thanks!
Jim

I found success with the 32-bit installer. I understand the confusion: Why not 64-bit? I've not had any problem with 32-bit, though. This has been on M1 and M3. I would imagine M2 would run similarly. I'm not saying that 64-bit won't work with some effort, but this is one option.
Good luck.
Hi Jim! Please contact me via tech supp or direct email (ralf@profantasy.com).
Hi, I'm a little confused. How did you find a 32-bit installer? The download comes pre-packaged from ProFantasy's site. As I do a little more research, this could also be an issue for Surface laptops (and others, I'm not really in the Windows PC area anymore) for many of them are sporting ARM processors which may have the same issue.
Ohhh, I see now that's it's a different version. I never noticed that. It's done what I want. Sorry for the confusion!
