Map two in my group of small settlements is for Bruga's Hold in Hex 403:
I've updated the notes in my WIP topic about this set as well, and there's a larger version of the map in my Gallery too. Meanwhile, the FCW file and PDF notes are here:
I am a later comer to this Compitition, but I still have time !
I am wanting to work on a village in Verinress Arl. The village I want to work on is on the edge of the forest with 3 roads coming to it and the last village on the road to A'Sarn. I didn't see that any one else has taken this one.
Wish me luck !
Quayuazue(A.K.A. Darren McDowell)
Edit: opps that is 4 roads , lol , not sure how i missed that ?
Well, you (and anyone else still thinking about joining) have plenty of time still. I deliberately let this competition run long to ensure everyone who wanted could find the time to participate.
Hi @Quayuazue! I think you’re describing a different place than mine, but just in case, I wanted to show you the place I’ve already adopted. It’s the village in the red box here:
I’m looking forward to seeing your approach to these villages!
The third of my potentially ten villages from The Whispering Wastes in Peredur is Ivan's Keep:
As previously, there are more details in my WIP Forum topic here, and the FCW and PDF notes files are below, with a higher res version of the map image in my Gallery:
I love competitions, not because I love competing, but because they push me to actually make time to create a map. So I'll be entering the map of the village of Ober in the Southern Scar.
The fifth map in my Whispering Wastes set is the weird necropolis setting of Osalin Village:
I've added some fresh notes about it to my WIP topic, and there's a higher-res map in my Gallery for this place too. Meanwhile, the FCW and PDF notes files are here:
REVISED 7th September. Added a small black dog in the central square and his name as the beach to the right. It is of course, my beloved Schipperke dog, Ahab. Plus a few minor changes. Larger version in the Gallery
Map seven from my set of ten is for another hamlet, Rularn:
A more extensive set of notes than usual have been added to my WIP topic elsewhere on the Forum (as I remembered to make some screenshot versions as I was constructing this one!), with a higher-res image in my Gallery. The FCW and PDF notes files follow:
The village is located in the yellow boxed area of this area map. (The area map is the Eknapata Desert, on the eastern side of the Gold Coast -- both were previously submitted in this thread.)
It's located just north of an island off the coast of Enia, the elven kingdom on the north coast of the Gold Coast region previously submitted in this thread, in the area marked with the yellow box.

This is my work so far ...
Q
I'd like to grab Riverton on the Alarius map, if it hasn't been taken yet.
Sorry @Ralf , AHB_Cartographer already claimed that one (There is a list at the bottom of the first post). May I suggest Hummel or Rheems instead?
Ooops missed that, Rheems will be fine.

That's great. Good luck.
Map four of my ten small settlements is Toresk Village:
I've updated my WIP topic with this map today too, and there's a higher-res version in my Gallery as well. The FCW and PDF notes follow:

Map six is for the hamlet of Arvika:
I've made the usual updates elsewhere on the Forum & Gallery too, while the FCW and PDF notes follow:
Here is my version of the Oasis. A place were the nomads and the people of the great towns meet. Sweet water for weary travellers.
My competition entrant now finished.
REVISED 7th September. Added a small black dog in the central square and his name as the beach to the right. It is of course, my beloved Schipperke dog, Ahab. Plus a few minor changes. Larger version in the Gallery

And here are the FCW and PDF files for it:
having updated my WIP topic and added a higher-res map version to my Gallery, as normal, too.
Hi @Monsen - how many days have I got left to complete things on my map?
In case Remy doesn't spot this, from the original post way back on Page 1: The competition ends October 1st 2024, 12:00 UTC.
So that's 20 full days as I type this, plus a bit (the exact amount depending on how UTC = Greenwich Mean Time correlates with your local clock time).
My entry.
@Monsen I'd love to take on the Order of the Fist Monastery in the Chakri Lapu Region on Malajuri.
Sounds great @MakeWayForJebus. Keep in mind this is a village competition, but a monastery are often found along a village, so I guess that is fine.
I had planned on an accompanying village, yes 🙂
Map nine in my little set of ten is for Skara Hamlet:
The usual WIP and Gallery updates are elsewhere on the Forum for this map, plus the FCW and PDF notes files for it are below:
I'm ready to submit my desert village of Djayet for the competition.
Primary Style: Desert Oasis
Toggles: none
The village is located in the yellow boxed area of this area map. (The area map is the Eknapata Desert, on the eastern side of the Gold Coast -- both were previously submitted in this thread.)
I am also ready to submit Eilân Danaäd, my sea elf village and harbor.
Primary Style: Marine Dungeons
Toggles: "Lighthouse Glow" layer turns on/off a glow indicating where light from the lighthouse emits.
It's located just north of an island off the coast of Enia, the elven kingdom on the north coast of the Gold Coast region previously submitted in this thread, in the area marked with the yellow box.
